Here's what Bane reads from the letter:
The Batman didn't murder Harvey Dent, he saved my boy then took the blame for Harvey's appalling crime so that I could, to my shame, build a liearound this fallen idol. I praised the mad man who tried to murder my own child but I can no longer live with my lie. It is time to trust the people of Gotham with the truth and it is time for me to resign.

Movie without any Joker was boring as hell.

If memory serves, Bane didn't read Gordon's confession on Dent Day, he read it after.

ZaCH, wasn't Batman mentioned in the confession as saving Gordon's son?

I meant Gordon wrote the speech for Dent day, but decided against it and kept it in his pocket.

Nam are you really crying about the lack of the Joker?

This is not the comicbooks or a cartoon, where the Joker just escapes on a routine basis as a convenient plot device. In the more realistic Nolanverse it stands to reason that Joker had his "epic" moment, failed, and was ultimately locked up in maximum security prison far from Gotham. He either rots in prison until he dies or is executed. No escape. The end.

I mean how often have Charles Manson or the Unabomber escaped to one again threaten the good citizens of Gotham?

I'm still replaying the sewer fight in my mind, absolutely brutal. It genuinely made me feel uneasy.

I need to see this film again!

A mention of the Joker or seeing him running off from behind as the prisoners were released would have been cool, but I agree this movie didn't need the Joker.

I also don't know what purpose the Scarecrow served in either TDK or TDKR but he pops up in both.:dunno

I liked this movie but didn't love it. Easily the weakest of the trilogy. Waaaay too long. How many times did we need to see Bruce Wayne try and climb out of that prison?? :lol And the scene when that SWAT team meets with Gordon and Robin to make a move to stop the bomb from going off and the whole SWAT team gets killed as they are leaving. :lol I kept checking my watch to see how much time was left.

There was also a lot of sloppy editing and inconsistencies. Biggest one that comes to mind is the chase scene at the stock exchange. Starts off in broad daylight, they enter a tunnel and when they emerge it is nighttime. All in the span of 8 minutes as that is how long it took the program to download Bruce Wayne's stock transaction using his thumb print.

Im glad i don't share your enthusiasm for negativity towards this movie this morning and cannot fathom how this is "easily the weakest of the trilogy" you must have been watching a different Movie, but then again there will always be haters....even though you said you "liked it" but hey everyones entitled their own opinion.

Man, I still can't get over the whole Robin thing. Never expected it at all.

I agree it is the weakest of the three but don't take that as a knock on this movie cause BB and TDK is just way too good.

I am watching it again tonight so I might still change my mind.

However, this trilogy deserve accolades for being the best trilogy out there.

ps- LOTR doesn't count cause it is really one long book split into three movie.

Seems to me you can't understand anyone who has a different opinion than your own. No time to debate with tools.

Congrats you just made my ignore list. :clap

LOTR doesn't count because the book was laid out for Jackson to do his thing, im not sure how he could have screwed the story line up
