A mention of the Joker or seeing him running off from behind as the prisoners were released would have been cool, but I agree this movie didn't need the Joker.
I also don't know what purpose the Scarecrow served in either TDK or TDKR but he pops up in both.
I liked this movie but didn't love it. Easily the weakest of the trilogy. Waaaay too long. How many times did we need to see Bruce Wayne try and climb out of that prison??And the scene when that SWAT team meets with Gordon and Robin to make a move to stop the bomb from going off and the whole SWAT team gets killed as they are leaving.
There was also a lot of sloppy editing and inconsistencies. Biggest one that comes to mind is the chase scene at the stock exchange. Starts off in broad daylight, they enter a tunnel and when they emerge it is nighttime. All in the span of 8 minutes as that is how long it took the program to download Bruce Wayne's stock transaction using his thumb print.
TDK; it was showing that Scarecrow was still out there, dealing his hallucanageon. TDKR was homage because theres no joker, so Scarecrow is the only other... large villain akin to Bane, Joker, Dent, that was freed, so naturally he would be the one to judge gotham.

He's got a point, you will never get the same feeling of sadness and motivation after the second, third, fourth ----. Well not up to the point of when you first watch the film for the first time, thats why I can't watch Transformers 3 anymore. I know whats going to happen and the same spark doesn't appear after the second time I watch it. It's not forgettable though since plenty of scenes in the movie will probably scar Batman hardcore fans for life, or they weren't scared but happy that Batman get ripped by Bane. (Eg. sewer scene bane vs batman)

The movie was ____ing brilliant, and easily the best of the three for me.
I wouldn't say they would scar them for life, as I'm a hardcore Batman fan, have been since I was 6, and I thought pretty much everything was perfect. Bruce got cocky and thought he could handle things himself, when he obviously can't and he paid the price for it. It's a recurring theme in the comics that he is at his weakest when he isolates himself and shuts his allies out, and that's what the core of the movie is about.
I dunno, I understand why some people are disliking the movie, but personally it was everything I wanted. I also feel like Bane was a really, really strong villain. He was brutal and merciless as hell, and every scene he was in hammered home that he just didn't care about anyone or anything but his mission.
I absolutely loved it.

I don't see how him saying that the movie sucked or that a Batman movie without Joker is boring should get a rise out of anyone. There are plenty of things that I like that others hate. If I let that bother me, I'd be pretty miserable.

This movie isn't the best movie of this trilogy (that goes to TDK) so for me it can't be the best film of the year. This movie is closer to BB level than TDK at least for me and I especially think that after seeing all three of then in the same day. TDKR has several awesome sequences but it has some bad ones as well. I thought hardy as Bane and Hathaway as Catwoman did a better job than anyone else. I will buy it on Blu and will take my dad to see it, but if I had to score this on a 10 scale it would get 7.5/10.
So...???? thats very few posts here compare to the Nolanites praising it with each of thei posts....its as redundent.
