Remember when Alfred said Gotham needed batman and Bruce said batman has no limits ? Petridge farm does.

So soft in fact that he couldn't still bullseye with a bow and arrow... oh, wait.... :lol

Shooting a target from maybe 50 feet away and fist fighting a massive well trained war criminal are two different things. Besides he hadn't gone completely soft he was still handing everyone else their ass.

You're forgetting the rest of the conversation

'But you do sir'

Again, Batman is a symbol, everlasting, and this is embodied perfectly in the ending. Bruce Wayne is just a man, he has limits, there is only so much his body can take.

Ok void fine I just didn't like the direction it took. He didn't feel like batman to me. To me batman wouldn't quit.

It's a perfect parallel to what happened in the US after 9/11.

After OBL showed what can be done by hijacking a few planes, you would have thought someone else would've done it again within 8 yrs, oh wait, it's been 11 years now... and no major incident in the US... hmmm I wonder what happened.

The Patriot Act.

:wink1:

yeah well....

if you want to get technical, I guess if that shooting happened in Gotham, Batman would not care about it either, Of course the police got this guy and didn't need help, so you could say if that would have happened in Gotham Batman would not have been needed,
BUT crazy people really don't care for laws or cops or anything, I'm just saying,

and people have tried to blow up stuff here, they just have not been successful

One man, or the entire mob? He can wait.

Mob. League of Shadows. Mob. League of Shadows. Mob, League of Shadows.

That's all Batman cares about. Oh and symbols of hope, Maggie Gyllenhaal and a city of justice, love, and peace for everyone of us. As soon as Batman's world started to get interesting in this series they cut it down and retired him. Story. Cop. Out.

**** Joker, he's a nobody (even though he's far more interesting than the League of Shadows). I'm surprised they didn't make him a League of Shadows member to be honest. Especially when you consider this series' fascination with LOS and cult terrorism in general. Scarecrow was a pawn for Da league, Bane was a follower of the league, hell Batman himself was a part time member. :lol

Surprised Joker, Catwoman and Two-Face weren't part of it secretly.

I love how it's apparentlly out-of-line for Devin Faraci to say that TDKR might not be a good movie, but it's cool when Solidsnake says TDKR is the greatest movie of all-time. :lol

I mean, the BadAssDigest stuff isn't even that extreme. Let go of the Butt-hurt, Nolanites.

Even more of a reason why its stupid. joker didnt make a move. Scarcrow didnt make a move, the mafia didnt do anything in a huge city like that for 8 yrs ? lol um ok them.

"were destined to do this forever" pshh yea right joker.

Gotham is a curupt city im pretty sure gotham needs batman but in this movie apparently not.

The Dent Act

Did you even watch the film?

'Peace has cost you your strength, victory has defeated you'

Batman is in a weakened state as he's been out of action for 8 years. Please try harder :lol

:lol

Fair enough - hope the next incarnation does it for you :wave

Thanks for playing

:lol

:lol :lol :rotfl

I was aware of the dent act smart guy. Still stupid IMO. Stop acting like the movie was flawless it wasn't. Jeez.

And once again.... these films are supposed to differ from the comics. Some seem to be having to much difficulty understanding that.

The issue isn't that its different from the comics, its that in TDKR it strayed too far from the essence of the character as well as what had been built up in the previous 2 movies.

Things like 'escalation,' 'you've changed things, there's no going back', and 'we're destined to do this forever', were completely ignored and instead we were given a crime-free gotham with a whiny cripple locked up in his mansion like Howard Hughes.

Then we have completely implausible scenarios like the Dent Act, Miranda Tate being made CEO of Wayne Enterprises, Blake figuring out who Batman is by looking at him, etc.

Throw in some terrible performances by Matthew Modine and just about every secondary character, (seriously, the CIA agent in the beginning was just awful beyond words - "I'M CIA!!!") combine that with terrible dialogue (seriously, how many times was Modine going to call Blake a 'Hot Head'??) and unforgivable, sloppy editing and you have what makes TDKR as bad movie.

This guy knows what he's talking about,
I don't want to bash the movie, I did like it, I mean, I liked it as a Nolan/Bruce Wayne/ Bale movie,
but not as a batman movie

and these are some of the things I cannot let pass by, or ignore, because they are huge problems for this movie,
they are things they built up in the second movie that Nolan decided to throw into the garbage for this one, things that went into the Burner.

LOOK, I Know the Death of heath Ledger was really sad and we lost a great actor and everything...
but his death should have not make everything that was done in the Dark Knight be erased,
I have a feeling that if he did not pass away, this movie would have been a lot different, and we would not have had these problems, Nolan would have given us a stronger batman, a Joker that would have come back, and a better ending to the trilogy

Escalation was a theme for the second film and it was touched on. It wasn't a theme throughout the series. Joker's words of being destined to do it for ever hold no weight other than fanboys wanting to see more. He was a lunatic and he was captured it doesn't ****ing matter what he thinks he's destined to do. I'm sure plenty of criminals think they're going to do whatever they want until they're caught. Get over it.

i.e. "I have no explanation for Nolan's tittybabying and can't fill that plot hole."

What would you like an explanation on? I'll give you one if you have a legitimate question. But we've been through this all before and you have nothing. There is zero hole when it comes to the Joker.
