Read the interview, and like I said above. Reasons for why the Joker isn't going to be mentioned isn't the same as planning a third movie that was going to include him. There is no fact that supports that idea.

Been discussed before. Void would know better than I, but there was an interview where he stated they'd be exploring more of the Joker in the sequel to TDK since TDK's story was about Dent.

yes I remember this, I remember reading how Joker would play part in the third movie,

It's possible. I've never read anything about it. To my knowledge and the only thing I've seen on it is that the Joker was originally planned to be in two films. The first was going to be the Joker doing his thing and the 2nd (3rd film) would have been Dent trying to prosecute him and becoming Two Face. Nolan took both films and combined them into TDK and originally he was going to quit Batman before he made Bruce quit Batman. WB gave him a blank check to come back for a third.

It was Goyer who had planned for the Joker and Dent to return in a 3rd.

I remember hearing that too back towards the end of '07 before Ledger died. Its a damn shame we didn't get that 3rd film.

I know someone posted it a while ago, but TDKR really feels like the 4th film in the series, and that there's a missing film between the two. It just seems like there was a big cliffhanger at the end of TDK that wasn't fully explored and just passed over in TDKR to get to that point in the timeline.

I went into TDKR with the highest of expectations, probably too high I admit, but was severely let down. I tried and tried to love this film, and then tried even harder to like it, but after many viewings I just can't bring myself to do it. There's parts I really like, but overall, just very disappointed with the finished product. Perhaps this rumored director's cut will make it a better film.

That would of been way better than what we got to be honest. bane was cool but joker would have been better.

I really really have to say I completely Agree with this, Again, Ryan is right, that is exactly how it feels, From the Ending to Dark Knight to the beginning of Rises, it just doesn't feel complete,
I wish Nolan at least mentioned where the Joker was taken,

How are they "Talia's henchmen?" They reported to Bane and did as he instructed them to do or were killed on the spot.

Yet, mysteriously, none of them touched Talia. She was the boss. Bane was her *****. Hell, we even saw him cry like a little *****. :lol

*******. That theory actually adds relevance to the movie. : lol

"What if there was a note Chris? A note from Heath saying that he was not going to pursue a contract extension for the Joker and that he chose The Avengers instead? And what if I burned that note to protect you?"
