Not that it's a competition, but Dredd was just so much fun. And was a pretty good movie too. Not like a bad fun movie, a fun good movie.

And that score is something else.

Down to 79 from 90 on RT, for a second there I thought it was going to beat out TDKR.

Regardless, I am so there.

I'm more curious to see if it beats out Expendables 2 Old Folks Home in the action department more than anything else.

That would be so ironic if it did since Stallone was in the first Dredd movie.

It does. There's so much gore in this movie. It's insane. It feels like a mid 80's action movie. It moves perfectly, doesn't slow down for a second.

And Karl Urban is a badass.

Figured the polesquatting Nolancompoops would start trashing it on RT to avoid the indignity of having yet another superior comic book movie spank TDKR. :lol

:lol dredd was never going to be better reviewed than TDKR

^^^ Case in point! :lecture:lecture:lecture:exactly: :nana:

One problem is that now you're going to get reviews from people who assume that they are Dredd experts because they saw the Stallone trash and are comparing it to that one in a bass-ackwards manner.

A loose paraphrase of one negative review I read was that although they liked the "80s style gritty action, they didn't enjoy, nor understand why Karl Urban kept the helmet on."

:slap

Well most of the negative reviews on RT for TDKR barely have a clue what the film was about. So it's a level playing field so to speak.

I hate it when critics review comic movies when they know nothing about the comic.

Well, I'm talking in general, sorry I don't goto Rotten Tomatoes if thats what RT refers to, so I don't really know what the reviewers say there. As far as TKDR I think some people expected a carbon copy of TDK for some reason.

RT is Rottentomatoes and they basically just collate all the known critics' reviews. Many of whom really have no clue especially when it comes to comic book films.

Dredds a good film but its not meant to be anything like TDKR. TDKR is abit too self-serious, but thats what I loved about it.

Dredd was still great. And none of it felt as forced as the avengers united after Coulsons death. If every theres a comic book film that had such a lame forced 'lets pull together guys'.

Put it this way. Imagine the death of ramierez or Flass if he was a good guy, making batman take up the cowl again.

Yeah, such a sub/side character that has such a main impact? Totally falsified

I am sure they would have been very "heroic" if they considered a fellow being a "side character" as you put it. the whole part of the "hero" is that they are out there saving others that they don't even know.

Funny, I feel the same way about directors taking on comic book movies. :lol

You're going to need to use single-syllable words if you expect him to understand what you're saying. :lol
