Saw the MOVIE AGAIN! My God!
its been 3 times now, once every day since its release...

During the fight scene Bane says, "Oh you think darkness is your ally. You merely adopted the dark; I was born in it. Molded by it. I didn't see the light until I was already a man and by then it was nothing to me but....."

Any help?

That line was great but lost a bit when bane didn't turn out to be the child who got out.

Doesn't mean he wasn't born in darkness.

He may have been but that darkness in the pit is the darkness that counts as far as this story goes IMO. I could care less if he was bor. in the dark of the streets it doesn't play up the same way it would have if he was that child.

Yeah, it would've been nice since it would add to the theme of parallelism between Bruce and Bane, that they both escaped the pit on their on accord. But now it's Bruce and Talia.

There's still that line from Bane, however: "Nobody cared about who I was until I put on the mask." That works well enough to establish a link between the two (besides the obvious LoS connection).

How fearless is Bruce! When he was in the suit in the film it sure didn't disappoint.

But does Bane ever actually admit to having escaped from the pit on his own? I thought that was just legend passed down and misconstrued by those pit-dwellers and Alfred (of all people).

Maybe Bane was referring to when he became a member of the League of shadows. Losing his face in prison, being bounced out of prison and brought back.

Or maybe he was born in the prison. Just because Talia was doesn't mean he couldn't have been. Maybe that's why he was her protector, because he went through the same thing as a child.

It being her means not a damn thing IMO. They bring I ra's daughter and didn't use her all that well. She got a better run in Arkham City than she did in this movie.

That line doesn't do anything for me. It was a scapegoat line for not making him the child.

:hi5::hi5: I'm sure I'll be labeled as a hater which I'm not. I like these movies and I really like batman I just wanted these to be more than they were.

I had a debate with a friend and can someone clear up for me how the ending of this trilogy is similar (or not) to the way the graphic novels ended? What happened after Bruce's back was broken? Did it lead to him training the Batman Beyond guy? I never read the books so any help is appreciated.

And yeah, the Bane story lost me too. After talia told the real version I didn't understand why Bane protected her. The real reason atleast. Did Rhas like Bane or did he really think he was a monster? And I wished we got to see what they did to Bane's mouth.

Possible but that's not what Nolan was selling in this film.

Are you referring to the Knightfall story arc from the comics?

If Ras could go in and save Bane from the pit, why didn't he just do that in the first place and rescue his wife and Talia?

He knew where they were held because he was threatened of receiving the same treatment.

Just saw the movie---very fun ---Not my favorite of the summer.

Was Bruce referring to ____ when he was talking with Alfred about losing someone? Did ____ happen in the missing 8 years

He didn't know that the reason why he was sent away (given freedom over prison) was that the woman he loved took his place.. They say it in the movie.

What are the blanks?... No need for spoiler tags in the SPOILERS discussion thread. :wink1:

the comics trilogy is nothing like what nolan put up on screen

bruce was already training jean-paul, who was azreal at the time. after bruce's back was broken, he took up an offer from lady shiva to train with her on her home turf. jean-paul filled in as batman until he went nuts
