I think the sooner we get a new live action Joker, the better. Ledger need not absolutely personify such an iconic, integral character.

i really like the comic joker but
ledger's joker is so much better than the comic version.

Batman and Robin! Whodathunkit!? It still Blows my mind 'Robin' is in a Nolan film!

:lecture :lecture

The fantasy elements exist but are taken dead seriously, Freeze, Croc, Solomon Grundy, they aren't funny looking brainless monsters with corny one liners, they are serious buissness.

And Batman doesn't need armor because hes the ____ing Batman, if you see him coming its because he wants you to know he's ____ing with you, not because hes sloppy and risking a gunshot wound. Give him the year one duds, let it involve into the AC suit where its just lightly armored.

I'd be down for this, I'm a Nolan fan and this trilogy was fantastic but not the be all as some think, it ended up being boring in parts because it was shackled to the sterile 'realistic' approach. I miss the old art deco style Gotham shown in the Burton film. The arkham games have it spot on imo, great mixture of styles in there.
Characters should be allowed one origin story told in cinema and then it's a montage at best for all following incarnations, sick of the studios pandering to the dumbass masses who need to be spoonfed every detail.

As far as moving on, Burton had the right idea with his first Batman, just have him already be Batman and just a little flashback to his origin. No need for extended training montages... Heck, his origin could be give with a few lines between characters.

I don't think they'll do an origin. Everybody knows why Batman became Batman ... maybe start with a legit Robin origin, instead. Or, start with Robin involved, and end with the Nightwing split. There are plenty of stories to tell without rehashing an origin that was already perfected. Maybe do three movies tracing the three separate Robins ... first with a Grayson origin and Two Face (like Robin Year One), second with Jason Todd, Nightwing and Joker, and the third with Tim Drake and Penguin or Mr. Freeze.

I'd be fine with them taking Nolan's origin as definitive and never retelling it ... start the next reboot after Begins, and see where it goes.

I don't think they can avoid the Joker, though. There cannot be a Batman universe without a Joker.

I support this idea :clap:goodpost::exactly:
They need to show Batmans jerkoff personality alot more when he's working with Grayson to justify the need for Nightwing to be born. Also, Nightwing refusing to take money from Bruce in the future to support himself like he does in the comics would be great to see.

See, I love all of those performances... but I can't personify any of these characters with specific actors.

I cant help it. Conroy is Batman to me, just like Hamill and Ledger are joker to me as well.

Its hard to explain, but the first medium of Batman I had was BTAS. I grew up until i started reading comics when I was like, 10 or 11, but id already been conditioned into thinking Conroy was batman, so all I do is read in his voice.

Oh. Figured it pronbably was. I am amazed at how great the book is. On of the best making of books I have ever seen.

It really is

Im trying not to flip through it and actually read it properly page by page - the detail is incredible

Btw it mentions that 'The Bat' was designed so it could contain a Tumbler within it

Never saw that on film but interesting detail!

Looks like mine will be waiting for me when I get home tonight. Very excited to check it out with all the positive comments being said about it.

My making of book arrived today along with the dark knight manual:yess: I shall read one in each hand like johnny 5!

What a waste of space and time developing a knockoff instead of the real (and far better) Robin

Could of even named him Jason Todd or something but no we name him robin. I love these movies but I can't wait for the reboot so we can be done with this realistic bs.
