Last night my friend's gf asked if we were going to see TDKR on Friday and my friend just laughed "Yea I want some guy in clown make up crying and slobbering all over me.."

I'll see this some morning when it's been out a few weeks and the theatres empty.

Anne Hathaway plays a very believable and realistic Catwoman.

Nothing can Beat Pfeiffers Selina in Batman Returns to me , but Hathaway fits into Nolans Gotham perfectly and steals the show in all of her scenes... The fight sequences with her and Batman are thrilling.

BigFanBoy.com gave out tickets to an advanced screening as part of a promo. You had to write an email explaining what Batman means to you, and if they liked it, you got a ticket. I'm pretty excited since I never win anything like this.

Well Ebert like it, and said it was good, but could have been better.

If anything I agree with him and I'm worried I might not enjoy this as much, because it doesn't have that "fun factor" of Avengers,and the fact that it's more of a serious drama, rather than a comic book movie and that Batman is probably not going to be in it as much as we want him to be.

Dont think i'll pay too much attention to that review. Especially when he says it starts with too many new characters.

Well;

Bane, gordon, Batman, Alfred, Catwoman, Mayor, Levitt, lucious and Foley and Tate. New ones are Bane, Levitt, Foley and Tate. Surely thats not too many new characters is it?

Otherwise, TDK has too many new characters; Dent, Joker, Maroni, Checken, Gambol, Mike Engle, Coleman Reese, Rameirez, Wurz and Stephens. All of those played key, noticeable parts in the film.

Then he says theres hardly any Batman until the end. Well done captain stupid! This is the story of Batman rising, batman becoming the legend which he is. If bruce in incapacitated, then clearly Batman wont feature until he have the story of Bruce rising. And in BB, Batman was only in it for the Docks/judge phagen leverage, the 5 minuet piece where he gets set on fire, then the end with Arkham Asylum/Narrows. Hardly any batman there either.

I dont usually criticise reviews or anything, but reading that just puzzles me, and his criticisms just dont work out IMO.

Yeah, but I see his point. It's just not that much of fun if Batman isn't in it much. Then it's just a good serious drama, not an action comic book movie. Just would have been nice to see him Rise sooner, or show some montage footage of a few side missions or appearances or something for the last 8 years. And if he was totally gone for all that time, that's fine. Then just bring him out earlier in the movie to deal with situations. Not just save it for the final scenes.

Overall I felt Batman was barely present in all of the movies lol
It just makes you wanting more, that's all

I will like this movie, but won't come out of it like a giddy school boy like I did Avengers. I guess I just love that combination of action, humor, fun, superheroes kicking ass style a bit more.
