Really good bookend. I'm really shocked that people are still having trouble understanding Bane. It must be the speakers in your theaters. He came across perfect in our Imax. The only one I had trouble understanding was the old guys in the prison.

It was definitely not the speakers, as Bane came out crystal clear at some points, but muddy in others. In particular, the beginning of his sentences were occasionally difficult to understand, but by mid-sentence, I could understand him just fine. I'd say I completely understood 80% of his dialogue, used context clues to figure out 10%, and the remaining 10% I just had no clue. :dunno

It was obvious they ADR'd and tweaked Hardy's voice a lot during the film. I saw the TDKR prologue back in December, and watching those same scenes in the final movie last night, almost all of Bane's dialogue sounded different in his inflection and ep sometimes even in his delivery.

I didn't have much trouble understanding him outside of his scene with Dagget.

It might just be close to home, but anyone else with a little less enthusiasm to see this film after the shooting?

yea a little, considering that someone was trying to reenact a character from the film just blows, like really? Can't imagine how Nolan and crew feel about this.

I'm still seeing the movie, maybe it's a good thing I won't be able to see it till next week, maybe now I'll be able to enjoy a little more.

Was it confirmed that he was reenacting a character from the films?

Nope. It's just a lot of speculation and jumping to conclusions at this point. The police are still investigating his motive and refuse to say he was motivated by this movie specifically, the Nolan Bat-universe, or even Batman in general yet...despite what some on this board are salivating to definitively pin it on.

Who in the world would take joy in hearing a Batman Nolan fan was responsible for the shooting? Wtf is wrong with people?

How does Bane eat 6 meals a day and meet his daily protien and calories requirements with that mask on?

:lecture For all we know his neighbor's dog might've told him to do it. The movie itself may not have had anything to do with his motives other than a gathering of people in the same place making it convenient for him to pick his targets.

Joy is a strong word, I wouldn't go that far with it. I don't think anyone here is that sick to take joy in murders. But there is a definite "jumping to conclusions" going on that this specific incident is supposedly definite proof that Nolan Batfans are too extreme....when we don't even know yet that this guy was a fan, or that it is what motivated him.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore. If the guy was a crazed fan then so what? There's a bad apple in every bunch. Even on this board.

I was the same way for a little while this morning, but the way I see it, dwelling on it's not going to bring those people back, and it's certainly not going to make you feel very good. It's such heavy and dark stuff. I'm actually glad that this film is out, as it provides a bit of a distraction. Honestly, I'm just trying not to think about it.

Seems like its part of the human equation, unfortunately. I'll tell you this much, as tragic as sickening as random violence is, it sure makes me appreciate life just a little bit more

okay this is pretty funny:

Damn I am really shocked to hear about this shooting.

Actually I live less than an hour away from this theatre, and when I considered going to the midnight showing yesterday, this was one of the places I looked at.

I can only wonder what this guy's motive could have possibly been.

^ Glad you're safe man. Good lord. I guess thankfully, that theater was never at all in my radar. I would've either gone to ours, IMAX, or worst case the Highlands Ranch one. But it's still weird to think about the what if.
