Went to a marathon of all three movies last night. It was a long wait for the new film, but I really enjoyed it. No spoilers, but I really did enjoy the ending. Bane's voice was..meh, I was sort of surprised when I first heard it, but it got better as the movie continued. Overall I'd say it is a very strong movie, and a great way to end the three movies.

Damn I am really shocked to hear about this shooting.

Actually I live less than an hour away from this theatre, and when I considered going to the midnight showing yesterday, this was one of the places I looked at.

I can only wonder what this guy's motive could have possibly been.

wow, scary stuff. Glad you didnt go

It's funny

that everytime

there's nearly

every response

that there is

one of these!

Sometimes it's also funny reading all the underscore posts across the whole board.

This is so sad, R.I.P to the victims who were killed in this tragedy and pray for the survivors and those who are still fighting for their lives.

Reportedly, this nutjob claims he was the Joker when he did the shooting, I hope his punishment comes swiftly. Now the TDKR will forever be associated with this tragedy.

Just got back from the screening. I prefered The Dark Knight over Batman Begins. People said if you prefer TDK you wont like TDKR as much.

But ____ me, TDKR is on par if not abit better than TDK!!!!! See, I love both films equal, but they both give me something different which I wanted. TDK showed me the detective side, the psychological effect the Joker had and Dent. TDKR gave me the physical side, the broken man repairing himself to establish the Legend he is. I dont know how you could like one over the other, both films, TOGETHER, give both elements which truly make Batman whole.

Banes voice was cleared up on the prologue in our cinema, it was crystal clear. Every word you could make out. The story was awsome. The music was awsome. Cinematography, Fight choreography, the dialogue, character driven drama, Hathaway was fantastic as Catwoman, personally, better than Pfieffer. Gordon Levitt was fantastic also.

I loved every bit of it. What surprised me most, was that there was depth to bane. There was some interesting dialogue between Bane and Batman, it felt like there was a reason Bane was doing things, a motivation behind him. He was a villain through and through, no grey, just pure black and white and I loved it. I loved the ending, I thought it was rather fitting. From what I heard I didnt like it, but seeing it on screen, it was brilliant.

If Bale doesnt get any award or something for his portrayal of Bruce Wayne, something is wrong. The guy was out of this world in and out the mask. Infact, Oldman, Hathaway, Caine, Bale, Hardy, Levitt were all absolutly brilliant. I couldnt fault their performances. The film is just, awsome. Dont really have any criticism at all, it was just superb.

I heard about people thinking it was overcrowded at the start, but I didnt think that at all. I thought there was a perfect amount. I instantly thought of Roland Dagget, the man who created Clayface in BTAS with the John Dagget on the board. Nice little nod. Plenty of Nods to the batfans of comics and BTAS.

I mean, i really dont get any criticisms for the film. Not overcrowded with characters, i understood each one fully and their role. Banes voice was fantastic. I loved it, very clinical and precise accent just like his fighting style. Batman was in it for what, 40 minuets, maybe 30 minuets? But that felt right. I loved this film, it was exactly what I was after; Character driven drama with some fantastic action scenes and a great telling of story. 2hrs 45 minuets flew by and it left me wanting more and more and more. I didnt want it to stop, just like I didnt want TDK to stop.

Oddly, I think Begins is the weakest of the 3. Its still brilliant, but I find it weaker than TDK and TDKR.

But overall, 10 out of 10 really. I cant find any faults with it, it surpasses my expectation which were lowered by some opiniones here and on the web, but I love it. AND, ive never read Knightfall or any stories aside from Vengeance of bane and Bane of the Demon; so I have no true comic book knowledge of Bane, but this is making me want to finally pick up Knightfall. Though I just bought Haunted Knight hardback and Hush collection this afternoon before seeing it lol!

But yes, TDK and TDKR are both the same. One gives the psychological push, the testing of Batmans Morals, the other gives the psychological strain's toll on the mind and body, and the beating of Batman was so much more brutal than you would think. Its a beautiful film. Rise he did, and to the occasion he certainly rose. VERY happy, and I cant wait to see this film again sunday, and again and again when its on Blu Ray.

He died his hair red and said he was the joker.

IM sorry, thats a poor excuse. Jokers hair is green, not red. Who is he trying to kid?

They are claiming he was replicating the Joker during the hospital scene when he wears a red wig and he told the arresting officer he was the Joker, but we'll have to wait and see if that's true.

Load of crap. Then again wasnt he a medical student?

Its just a lame excuse. I might go pump myself on steroids go snap a few necks and call myself Bane. Or ill go use a sword, kill someone and blame devil may cry.

Just sick excuses. Joker has a ginger wig in a hospital and kills two police. Not a pure red wig and a cinema wearing a gas mask and bullet proof jacket. cowardly sick scum

just saw the movie, absolutely excellent end to the trilogy, plus a free trilogy poster for watching it in imax, sweeeeeet

i dont know if it was intentional or not, but john blake was like a combination of all three robins 1. he was an orphan, much like ____ grayson, 2. he was called "hotheaded" a bit of jason todd right there, and 3. he was smart, like tim drake and how he found out bruce wayne was batman on his own.

Yep. Bad news. A bit like Colombine was for the Matrix, but this is opening night and there now seems to be a clear association to the film (Batman anyway) so this is much worse for the Nolan-type 'gritty real' comic.

R.I.P. and a speedy recovery to all the victums in CO. That's some disgusting s__t.

My initial opinions: Really good movie, not great and no where near TDK. Didn't live up to the hype. Bane overall was a bit of a disappointment. Catwoman blew me away! We all knew that she wasn't gonna be a Returns/comic style Catwoman, in heat, meowing and purring. But Hathaway really tied the essence of the character into a real world setting. I ended up liking her 10x more than Bane and I thought it would've been the other way around. For me she stole the show. I caught most of what Bane said but will pick up whatever I missed when I go back. Just thought that he was gonna leave more of an impression. I think even Bruce Wayne isn't as serious, dark and rigid as he was in the first two flicks. He seems a bit fluffy at times

I gotta see it again cause sometimes things grow onto me the second time around. I will see it again in IMAX and maybe another time however:lol.

My main issue was the way they made certain parts cheezy and fluffy. CN has done a great job thus far portraying the whole story in a mature, serious manner. Then you have these parts like Wayne smilling away like he's in a f___in' Mentos commercial at Alfred in the cafe' in Florence. CORNY! There were a few other parts like that not coming to mind right now.

It's so sad hearing about about the Colorado shootings. I really can't imagine what the victims families are going through. This was a night these people have been looking forward to for awhile & to lose there lives over it is sickening. It's kinda put me of going to see this film now, I know it shouldn't but it has.

So am I the only one who was quite underwhelmed by this movie? I'm not sure why, I really enjoyed it, and there's nothing in particular I disliked about it. Except bane's voice. I never minded it before, actually thought it sounded quite cool in the trailers and the prologue, but in the actual film it was just ridiculous. But something about the overall film just left me feeling a bit like it didn't really live up to my expectations.

That's something I didn't like either. How corny this film seemed in comparison to the first two, especially TDK. That scene you mentioned, and then the firey bat signal lighting up. The close up of Batman in the Bat. The kiss with Catwoman. Some of the comic relief, etc... The Batman statue. When Selina disappears on him and he says that corny line in his Batman voice, etc... It all seemed really corny and silly and in the end made this feel like a less serious film than the others. I agree with you too that Bruce seemed softer and more fluffy in this film, and it didn't come across to me as really emotionally impactful, but just cheesy.

The action was supposed to up the stakes, but it was so over the top, that it came across as more ridiculous than scary.

I loved how comic booky it was. I'm glad it stopped being a dull crime drama. And more like Batman Begins.

Just got back and I'm just completely blown away at how excellent it was. We can discuss more when the thread opens up to spoilers :clap

I personally loved Bane and his voice though, I only had trouble understanding him during a few scenes. :rock
