I understood him for the most part. But I hated the voice they did. Didn't work for me. It felt too force.

The character never came off scary.

Catwoman on the other hand...wow. Amazing. Love that character, love her performance.

Bane didn't really come off scary to me, but more menacing and horribly powerful. I liked that about it and felt he was an excellent choice for the villain.

Catwoman was amazing though :rock

The character reveal towards the end, that character had me more afraid because I knew something was up with that character. And I figured it out halfway through, so I was in suspense every time that person was on screen.

I never had an issue understanding bane, I just didn't like his voice. Both me and my friend laughed out loud when he was in the plane and said "of course". Luckily I don't think it was quite as bad after that but generally I just think he sounded ridiculous. Particularly just his delivery of the lines. As I said, on the trailers it sounded quite cool, but the cut they used for the film I thought was just awful.

That's something I didn't like either. How corny this film seemed in comparison to the first two, especially TDK. That scene you mentioned, and then the firey bat signal lighting up. The close up of Batman in the Bat. The kiss with Catwoman. Some of the comic relief, etc... The Batman statue. When Selina disappears on him and he says that corny line in his Batman voice, etc... It all seemed really corny and silly and in the end made this feel like a less serious film than the others. I agree with you too that Bruce seemed softer and more fluffy in this film, and it didn't come across to me as really emotionally impactful, but just cheesy.

The action was supposed to up the stakes, but it was so over the top, that it came across as more ridiculous than scary.

Go back and watch Begins again. There is some seriously corny dialogue in there. I didn't mind the few jokes in this one at all. And have no idea where you guys think Bruce is more cheesy
Because he smiles at the end?

'Dark Knight Rises' Midnight Box Office: Batman Film Earns $30 Million From Midnight Screenings

"The Dark Knight Rises" earned $30.6 million from its midnight screenings around the country on early Friday morning, a record-breaking number that has taken a backseat after the tragic shooting at an Aurora, Co. movie theater.

I thought Bane was both menacing and scary. He was such a force of nature and a true monster that everytime he was on screen, I got goosebumps (most of the time anyway). And Tom Hardy's performance was perfect. Been one of my favorite actors ever since I saw him in Bronson

I loved the original...

"CRASHING THIS PLANE"

the new one was so silly.

:exactly: totally agree, his entire dialogue in that whole scene was miles better before. This time it all just sounded stupid. "Crashing this plane" sounded so awesome and bad ass before, now just silly. I was really disappointed with that.

I guess, I wish he did more then just break necks. I didn't need to see anything, I just wish did things that I didn't see coming, and something truly terrifying.

But it's OK. Didn't hurt the film. I saw this movie for Batman's story. Not Bane's.

He was more corny in BB too. That's why I said "specifically" in TDK, that film was much more serious in tone than this one.

just saw it and a few thoughts.

I liked bane, but not his voice. He sounds like Craig ferguson's Sean Connery imitation, I even waited to see the voice credits at the end.

Levitt does a great job, I actually thought they might have been grooming him for some sort of character takeover.

Hathaway was decent, more catburgler than cat though. Stilll liked her more than I though I would.

Michael Cane was excellent, best alfred yet, and the strongest alfred performance in this series.

To much bruce, not enough bat, and Bale is probably the weakest link in the film. The setting is also getting to me, it feels like New York, not gotham. While the 89 batman has it's corny moments too, I still think burton did a great job on gotham. Nolan did much better for the cities feel in part two of this series.

To many toys, I like when batman gets involved, but like many films getting into the third, this one seems to begin relying to heavily on the gadgets, I like them, but I like less of them. They seem cooler than the Batman, which shouldn't happen.

overall, a solid 7.5 out of 10. I actually enjoyed spiderman more, and the avengers just blows it away.

As for the mess in Denver. My heart goes out to the families and friends of those families. It's unfortunate that there's always some nutcase who feels the need to destroy the lives of others.

Yeah fortunately it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the film. Was still a great batman movie/story. Which is the most important thing to me.

Can't believe what I'm reading. Easily Bale's best performance. Also, I'm positive that if Hathaway/Catwoman was not in this movie I would not have enjoyed it as much.
