Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

There are rumours that Nolan's movie Inception is actually Batman 3, filming under a fake name. It has a bigger budget than the Dark Knight, around $200 million. Nolan has informed the cast not to talk about the movie, so all we know is that it's a Sci-Fi actioner.
Could Leonardo DiCaprio be the Riddler ?
That being said, the last pics I saw of Bale, he did not look to be in Batman shape

Bale is currently working on another project, so if Nolan's using a Return of the Jedi type gag to disguise the filming of a Batman film, then it must still be a ways off from filming because Bale has slimmed down to unhealthy levels, not Machinist level, but still too much for Batman, and for another Batman, he really shouldn't try like with Begins to put the weight right back on in a short period.

I'd say a healthy schedule would have Bale shooting Batman mid-to late 2010 at best.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I would personally like to see Black Mask, I've never really been too intrigued by the Riddler, but then again that's another reason why it'd be interesting to see Nolan's portrayal. I still think Black Mask is the way to go because it'd be a perfect way to tie up the first two films in that we first had the mob, then the freaks with the rise of Joker and Scarecrow, and Black Mask is the perfect amalgam of the two. Who knows where it will go though the hype will be through the roof for this one. For casting I think someone like Gary Sinise or Ralph Fiennes would be interesting, but I'm betting on someone less obvious like Ledger.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Gary Oldman just announced at the Warner Bros. Book of Eli panel that a third Batman film will go into production next year.

"I think the next Batman is next year," he told a fan who asked about when the long-awaited "Dark Knight" follow-up would hit, "We start shooting next year. You didn't hear that from me."

He did say that. Then Nolan said, nope he is dead.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

As much as I hated seeing Harvey die, I believe he is dead. I was so pissed the first time I saw TDK when Harvey dies. But in the end it served the story. I was just holding Goyer/Nolan to their word when they said the biggest mistake filmmakers in the past made was killing off villains.

That said, I would be elated to find out Harvey isn't dead and Nolan pulled a "Prestige" on us.

If he did that would be BS because come on clearly in the movie he is dead, dead dead dead. That was the whole point of the end of the movie he is dead. If they bring him back I won't be happy. I am pretty sure the reason nolan killed him off is because he assumed The Joker would be back from the next film....fail.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I still say Ed Nygma as an eco terrorist posing as an upstart political activist who frames Wayne Corporation and Bruce Wayne for a recent chemical disaster in Gotham would be a great angle.

The Batman is already dispised in Gotham, so putting Wayne's reputation on the line makes it Double Jeopardy and therefore the redemption storyline would have more gravitas.

The film would be 1/2 political thriller and 1/2 actioner.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Best to wait for official Word from Nolan or WB re: this latest Megan Fox to be Catwoman piece that came from the same Brit rag that spread all that BS earlier. Most likely they are just fishing for traffic.

But I do believe a Catwoman character makes sense as Bruce needs a new love interest.
