Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I think there could be more than 2 villains, if the writing and story are handled properly. Spiderman 3 tried to do too much in one film. I think Nolan's smarter, if 3 or more villains fit into a story, those guys could make it work.

In a way, Begins had 3 villains, Falconi, Crane and Ra's, and they were all handled quite well.

Even TDK sort of had 2 between Joker and the mob headed by Maroni.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Yes, too much villians are not a good move. A couple that's fine. In any case, I would love to see a return of Ra's Al Ghul in some shape or form. I think he could be esstenial to Batman's redemption IF they go that route. But I do trust Nolan and Co. to delivery a very good story and movie.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

As long as there aren't more than 2 villains I will be happy as well.

Both BB and TDK has 3 villains and they all had a certain theme to them. Falconi/Maroni = The Mob, Ras'/Two-Face = Vengence and Scarecrow/Joker = Psychopath.

I personally would like to see Nolan's take on Riddler. If done properly he could make pretty good psychopathic villain.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I don't consider TDK having 3 villains to me it is 2. BB maybe had 3 villains but I still consider just 2 when I think about it.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I don't like the idea of Riddler being a Psycho or a Killer. If anything, he can be a side villian helping a much more dangerous villian. Again, I will leave it up to the writers to put who they feel will be neccessory to continue/conclude the series.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin. That's all I want. That and the batcave.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Yup, Wayne Manor needs to be complete and the Batcave built in the next one. Would be nice to see already made, or created, a true Batmobile and not just a black painted tank that was already made, but something designed by Bruce and Fox from the ground up.

yeah really...I never liked the tumbler at all

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

The Tumbler grew on me, mostly for the fun of the chase scene in Begins, and it was fitting with all of Batman's gear being built up from pre-existing parts, but where his latest suit was built with the Batman intent, the Batcave will be built with intent, it'd be cool to see a Batmobile built from scratch and what Nolan's Batman would feel is fitting for a vehicle.

I will add though, I'd love to see more lurking on the roof tops for Batman like Begins, I like the presentation of him over looking Gotham and sort of being part of the city and not just someone in it. They did one shot in TDK but it just didn't feel the same, especially because of the shorter cape and him looking very much like a person and not so much a creature like Begins. Hopefully the fact that he's a wanted criminal will necessitate the lurking again.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I think one of the older Dodge Viper models would be a great car to modify into the next Batmobile.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

If they went for a modified version of an existing car, they'd probably go with a Lamborghini since Bruce likes them.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

We'll never see a sports car Batmobile with this Batman. Batman would be more likely to wear grey spandex than have a sports car Batmobile. If anything we'll see something even more tank like. Dark Knight only proved the beast that was the tumbler wasn't even enough to take on the crime of Gotham. Going for speed over armor wouldn't make a whole lot so sense for me. He has the Batpod for that.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I don't care if it's a beast like a tank, I just want something suggestive of Batman in the design. The Tumbler was generic, I know there were subtle bat things worked into it, but you really have to know about that to spot it, otherwise it's a tank.

Something between the 1989 Batmobile and the Tumbler would be great.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I think an elaborate Batmobile might be stepping outside the Nolanverse. So I hope it would not stand out to much.
My pick for Batman 3 would be Hush. He would be great, especially if this is a redemption story.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

I like a lot of what is being said / suggested. I agree that the Riddler should not be a main villain, just a side distraction - still not sure if the Mr Reese subplot has anything to do with Riddler.

But I would love to see Seymour Hoffman as Penguin - with his character basically picking up the pieces after the Joker blitz and creating his own crime syndicate, and perhaps either a return for Ra's or the emergence of Hush, to tie in with a theme of redemption

I would too. Definitely a new Batcave and Batmobile. The script is being written now by John and David. Expect Casting news this Spring/Summer and a shooting Sched this Fall for a 2011 Release.

Superman is also gaining traction at the Studio with Chris acting as a Godfather to the Project.

Re: Batman/Dark Knight 3rd Film

Wow, so the script is already being written? Good news! :)

I've heard that they are considering (another rumor, probably) the villain Anarky just because he's another villain without superpowers like Penguin, Catwoman or Riddler.
