I don't know about that. Iron Man 2 had terrible parts because of the Avenger junk they crammed into it. So the Avenger movie is prolly going to be a clusterfuak of garbage that only Marvel can deal out.

It was about a year before The Dark Knight came out that we got our first look at the costume from that film. So hopefully we are only a couple weeks away from the reveal of the Batsuit.

So JGL is said to play a cop name John Blake.

Anybody already seen the comic relation between John Blake and Joker going around in the internet?

Some people see a hint in there that he will in fact play the Joker and not the little guy. I personally think both would be cool. JGL playing the Joker would be an epic choice in my eyes. Nevertheless I would also appreciate a new developed character that got his name from a not very well known Batman comic. Once again this shows Nolans love to these little details no matter what character JGL is going to play...

I had the same thoughts for a long time. Nevertheless it would match to advertise him as a different character and fool all those internet nerds. further the comic clearly leads to Joker so IF he does play Joker this would be a nice hint in all these prefilm riddle games.
And its a funny idea to give the new character a name that has appeared in the comics.

Are we looking at the same comic? The comic I'm seeing shows the Joker stealing Johnny Blake's report card. It doesn't saw anything about John Blake being the Joker.

Sorry, wasnt ment that way. English isnt my first language. I ment there is a connection between Blake and Joker. This fact alone is pretty cool I think.

Anyway, lets see it from a business side:

TDK was a hughe success. Not because of Batman but because of the magic of the Joker. People wer hyped all over the world, because of Joker. Would they have been hyped too if Heath did not pass? Id say yes because they also loved the Nicholson Joker back in 1989. The Joker is simply a character that sells. Even more than Batman.
would Joker have been the same if not Heath but someone else would have been cast forthe role? Propably not but he would have been quite similar as not Heath but Nolan has created this / his Batman universe and thought up that particular Joker. Afterwards he casted Heath because he thought he would mathc to his imagination of the Joker (and he was dam right )...
Now, 3 years later the Joker is still there. People still love this character and everybody I talk to wants a Joker in B3. for obvious reasons Heath is unavailable, however (except for a few hundred nerds incl me) people have moved on in real life. Some have even seen another movie meanwhile. So casting a new actor who might be able to play the Nolan Joker could help continuing the success of Nolans Bat triology. Lets face it, DKR without a Joker will not draw as many viewers as TDK. However DKR with a well promoted new actor playing Joker could gain alot of interest and public media (promotion) leading more people to watch the movie. In the end this is all that matters. Also merchandise of Joker sells better than Bane...

Yes but you forget one important point - JGL has been spotted numerous times in full cop uniform while filming in London (unfortunately there are no pics due to strict security) - i've spoken to at least 5-6 people first hand who saw him, while I was stalking the set.

So unless they are going to extreme lengths to hide the fact that he's actually Joker.... it aint happening

Let me add though - if it happens... I would be over the moon!

Seriously. I dont say he is playing Joker but I would honestly wish to see some kind of Joker in there. JGL might be the right one for the role though and in a weird way it makes kind of sense especially from the marketing view...

Well i'd love for JGL to play Joker don't get me wrong, and i'd totally be in for laughing man returns too

I just don't want to get my hopes up though, so i'm firmly sticking to 0% expectation of it happening!
