Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I also remember a college team in Batman: The Animated Series where the Scarecrow drugs ____ Grayson's roommate or something. His roommate played for Gotham University or a team name along those lines.

Still, it just seems out of place to me. Especially the way they're looking for volunteers.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

It will probably just be a wayne scene. You know, how he has to go do stuff to seem "Normal." I almost doubt it will be a football scene at all. Might just be using the stadium as an event Mr. Wayne is attending. Maybe a horse race or something?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Well Smallville made Lexcorp own the Sharks, It might be the same thing where Bruce buys the team and is doing a PR thing or something along those lines.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I just read this on SyFy.com :D

So what will Anne Hathaway's Catwoman costume look like?

Anne-Hathaway-1-thumb-550x433-65579.jpeg

With The Dark Knight Rises currently filming and few set reports or pics to sink our teeth into, we may just have the very next best thing. We know what Anne Hathaway's Catwoman will look like.
Ever since it was announced that the actress was cast as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, what we all really wanted to know was 1) What will the Catwoman costume look like? and 2) (and more importantly) What will Anne Hathaway look like in it?
Will she look more like Michelle Pfeiffer's seductive—albeit twisted —Catwoman, which has been forever seared into our brains since Batman Returns? Or will she have more in common with Halle Berry's more "trashy" rendition of the character from that really bad Catwoman film?
Hollywood Life has the "inside" answer to those questions:
"Anne's outfit is more tactical, like the comic book, than the previous Batman movies. She will definitely be wearing the goggles and it's going to be less sexy than Halle Berry and Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman costumes. She's going to look more like a robber."
Which sounds a lot like this:

This more practical approach to the Catwoman costume (yeah, let's face it, there was nothing practical about either Michelle Pfeiffer's or Halle Berry's Catwomen—except maybe for those claws) will certainly please some Batman fans but may disappoint others who wanted a bit more sexiness (make that nakedness) to their favorite catburglar.
Still, with Anne Hathaway in the role—and in director Christopher Nolan's twice-proved capable hands with the Batman movie franchise—we're certain that she will bring a lot of feline hotness to the part no matter the costume. (The 28-year-old actress has been apparently working out nonstop to get in shape for the role.)
"Everything from the looks in her eyes, her head movements, her body— everything is so feline," this insider reports again. "The role is taking her to new places."
We just can't wait to see that. Can you?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm a local and as I stated before, it's looking good that I might be an extra, but I don't think it's for this Football crap.

Honestly, that sounds really, really lame. There's going to be a football team in this movie? Gotham has it's own team? Really, they're called the Gotham Rouges? Seriously? I'm sure there are Batman and Steelers fans foaming at the mouth, but to me, that's just stupid. Yeah, yeah, wait and see but I want Pittsburgh to be Gotham City, not vice versa and I LIVE here. I wonder if that's how people from Chicago felt?

I don't know what it is, but that announcement makes it feel unprofessional or something. Like this is a stunt show or carnival. FOOD AND DRINKS! ALL AGES! COME SEE BATMAN. I mean, this football thing is going to be a scene? What, Batman and Bane are going to have a stadium fight?

The Hercules Plane scene sounds MUCH better than this crap.

My buddy snagged some tickets for this. Curious to see what it's all about. I have some family in the area so good excuse to venture back home. I don't know. Having a football team in the movie doesn't seem all that ridiculous. There were many real life elements in the previous two Batman movies. So why not a football team? I have faith in Nolan. I'm sure he has the capability to pull it off. Seems to fit in with the whole hyper-machismo theme of Bane in a way, doesn't it?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I dont see what's ridiculous about having a football team in the movie?

I'm sure it's not going to be some lame scene, Nolan does everything for a reason

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Mayb Bruce and Selina are attending an event, maybe not even a football game. Sounds about right to me.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Has Chris Nolan just invented the wildest Bat-vehicle yet?

Meredith Woerner — More Dark Knight Rises rumors are surfacing — including what could be Bruce Wayne's craziest ride yet.

Spoilers below...

First up, London Boom Operator Freddie Z. Roche twittered this interesting bit of information about The Dark Knight Rises.

The Dark Knight Rises Inside Info, they are Building 2 Attack Helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM

Boom indeed. A Bat-copter in the same style as the Tumbler? That would rule!

Whether or not this Tweet is accurate, we have no idea, but we what he's saying. Fingers crossed for BAT-COPTERS. Plus this BBC News report seems confirm the presence of Dark Knight airobatics (but not helicopters, jets):

Parachutists dressed in black and using a private jet painted black have been in action at Cairngorm Gliding Club's site at Feshie Bridge. A former US military C130 Hercules transport aircraft linked to The Dark Knight Rises has also been making flights from Inverness Airport. Feshie Bridge was reported as the location for filming earlier this month by Gavin Musgrove, editor of the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald. A chartered helicopter was also at the club's airstrip along with the black jet.

That jibes with the reports of a crazy airplane stunt involving a C130 Hercules plane that we posted a while back.

And finally the last bit of news (and my personal favorite) comes from a casting call in Pittsburg asking for football players. Why? Because Dark Knight Rises will feature the Gotham Rogues football team, playing against the Rapid City Monuments! Yay fake sports teams!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I am not a fanboy so I will say that could suck ass but I will trust Nolan because of his track record.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Why not? I'm sure there'll be a good story reason and it's sure to look insane! Hope it's true!!

A Bat-copter just so hokey and 60's TV showish. I know some of these may be false but this along with the football game and airplane out of controll and return of Ra's and wacked out amount of villians sure are not painting a very promising picture for me. I sure hope it all works out.

I used to think that about George Lucas.

But it's Nolan, so, uh, HAVE FAITH BRO. TRUST NOLAN. He's the best filmmaker of our time, he's never made and will never make mistakes or bad decisions.

____ Batman, this is A CHRIS NOLAN FILM. IT'S GOING TO BE PERFECT. No one should have fears or concerns or question anything. It's alllllll good. ____in bat-copters, it'll work. Why? Nolan and "practicality". The "Gotham Rouges" sounds hokey to ya? NOLAN IS A GOD, that team will have a melodramatic scene that will make you cry, think, and ____ yourself.

TRUST, TRUST, TRUST!

Seriously though, I've NEVER bought into the whole "trust" bull____. Trust what? I've never understood that. Trust him with "your" character? What's the worst that could happen if he made a "bad one". Would it spoil your love of Batman? Would it tarnish Batman Begins or The Dark Knight? I just don't get it. The man is human. If he makes a bad film, would I suddenly turn on the guy? Hell no. But alas, most fans/fan boys are like that. To these people, directors like Nolan should have a clean track record or else they are considered has beens or old news. So far he's made films I've enjoyed, but I acknowledge that he isn't some god. Personally I think he's probably more humble than his fans make him out to be.

As far as the movie goes, there are a few things that haven't sat right with me, most recently the whole football arena stuff. Some of the casting and that title sort of bothered me but I got past it. I mean yeah, this film will probably be good but come on, it's normal for people to not feel 100% positive about some of the info that's been popping up. To simply say, "don't worry, THE MAN will handle it" is ridiculous. History has shown that it's very RARE that lightning strikes multiple times for most directors and some that were considered great have been brought down.

To think Nolan is beyond that so early in his career makes me wonder what some people are smoking. He's a great filmmaker, no doubt I've loved both Batman films completely so far, but is this guy perfect? NO.
