Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm betting Marion is his wife, she'd be too old to be Liam Neesons daughter?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Depends if they run with the Ras is immortal kind of thing then his daughter who doesn't use the Lazarus Pit could be 85 for all intents and purposes.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Saw Hardy's new movie Warrior last night. All I gotta say is I feel sorry for Batman.

Also, those worried about Hardy's size, I couldn't even tell he was shorter, they didn't use CGI or film tricks so I expect Nolan not to care about the pointlessness of Hardy being a little shorter compared to bale.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yup, watched Bronson again a couple weeks back on Netfilx. He's good in that too.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Wait, that's BW.

Here I was thinking it was just intothevoid going out for some chinese food and stopped to check out the local hookers :lol

Hey, what is he holding in his hand anyway...looks weird, he looks like a 3 finger alien.

Agreed that he was awesome in Warrior. But I can't say I didn't notice he wasn't shorter than the Conan O'Brien-looking guy. But his crazy shoulder muscles and bulk gave him this lurching, hulking appearance that made you not pay attention to his height, so much as his overall mass.

Yeah, I think he'll be perfect as bane. The dude can act for one thing and he's F'ing HUGE. Loved his first fight in Sparta where he just strait up knocks the dude out with one Leonidas kick.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

unless i missed it, none of you have commented on Marion Cotillard saying shes not a character from the comics meaning she not Talia. She was interviewed by MTV the other day:

https://www.mtv.com/videos/movies/6...s-character-is-not-from-the-comic-books.jhtml

Well, to be precise... If I was playing a character known as "Miranda Tate" in a Batman movie, and someone asked me if my character was in/from the comics, my answer would have to be: "NO". Because "Miranda" is not a comic book character.

It sounds like the interviewer tried to be sneaky by asking a non-direct question and it didn't work. Either because Marion was smart enough to stick to her contract promises or simply because she's just playing a role Nolan gave her and doesn't even know if her character was in the original comics. (Yes, this could be possible.) He should of just been direct in his question: "Are you playing Talia at any point in this film?"

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

surprised to see them shooting downtown over the weekend (Los Angeles)...

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Not TDKR but an interesting filmaking study of TDK:

From Bad Ass Digest:

https://www.badassdigest.com/2011/09/13/jim-emerson-dissects-the-action-in-the-dark-knight

Very interesting. I never consciously noticed all of the errors in that scene, but the swat van into the water always felt a "off" to me. Reminds me of the glaring error in Begins when Bruce is test driving the tumbler and turns the controls hard one way, while the exterior shot shows it turning the other way. Let's hope Nolan and his editor do a little better with TDKR's action.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

This guy needs to get a life :lol

I did not notice even one of those 'continuity problems' :dunno

There are only 2 editing errors that bug me with TDK.

#1. The jump onto Crane's van, he supposed to land facing the right side of the van but lands facing forward.

#2. When Bruce Wayne is being stitched up he's looking down then in the immediate next cut he's looking in other direction.

Ok, that's all I have :lol

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I love the continuity of the same person sneaking into the shots where you can just make out their sneaker :lol
