The teaser trailer calls the nolan saga an epic. An epic is a storyline where the main protagonist goes through obstacles along a journey to become a hero. Batman will not die. He could. But he won't.
Are either of those characters Batman or Spiderman? Were either of those films called Joker or Harry Osborne? Are either of those characters the hero? Do I need to go on?
V For Vendetta's V
The Crow
Rorschach (pretty much the main character)
Marv
Hartigan
Leonidas
Big Daddy
hell even Spawn was killed in the beginning of his movie
constantine,
that's 8 main characters from their movies right there (Don't know who has watched what, so spoiler alert)
You know the real reason no heroes in movies die: MONEY
could they do a sequel to v for vendetta? no, the crow with the same character? no
is all about the sequels and the money if you kill the main character the chances for sequels get ruined
Nolan is Done with batman, His version of Batman I might add, you forget this is his vision of Batman, he doesn't own batman, but he owns the universe he put Batman in, he created that world, he nurtured, he watched it grow, If Nolan wanted to end batman in his universe I could see it happen, why not? I don't think is as "retarded" as you say,
I don't know if it will happen or not. I'm not saying it will or that I wanted to, but, is possible, Nolan already established this world is more real by killing Rachel, Two face was a given, but Rachel made it more real, I wouldn't be surprised if Alfred dies too,
so...
yeah I agree with you, but she was the most important thing to Bruce,so in that way it matters, at least it mattered to him, and it sets the stage,
I just don't agree with wofford29 saying it was retarded, It might be not likely, but who knows, Nolan has to impress the public, this is the last movie, the legend ends, Bane (breaking the bat) I mean, I could see why some people think Batman could die, is a possibility
Yeah, of course it's a possibility, I don't think Wofford disagrees with that. There are other possibilities as well. Bruce might have developed another persona as a transvestite, perhaps he wakes up and all the events in Begins and TDK were a dream?
Those are all possibilities, possibilities along with dying that I don't want to see. I'm all for plot twists and edge of your seat plot points but you don't kill Batman, especially if he only fought crime for a year, quit for 8 years and then came back only to die.
Now if Wayne is in danger of dying and that's where the tension of the film comes from because his death seems inevitable, I'm all for that, just don't kill him.

You're talking about people who dropped mad cash, like seriously whacko amounts on a 1/6 Joker figure. I'm sure they'd be more than spankhappy to see a pic of Ledger painted up like the Joker, almost buck naked, in a bikini thong, legs tucked behind his ears and happy trails blazing away, than Scarlett Johansson butterflied in a Hustler spread.
