Re: The Dark Knight Rises

i'm really really excited with the potential of tom hardy as a villain, i mean, this guy is a serious badass actor.

he is a chameleon.

No, that's a Spider-Man villain. :yess:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

^ :lol

i thought batman begins sounds classy. it implies a sense of purpose, as well as announces the beginning of a new series.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I've seen the words enough times that "The Dark Knight Rises" is fine with me now.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I still think it's pretty weak.

You can say the same thing about Nolan's films. Neither one is purely 100% accurate to the source. :dunno

And if that were the standard, everything that wasn't written by Bob Kane would be fan fiction too. But it's not.

Batman killing is on par with zombies using tools in Land of the Dead. I would consider that movie to be equally as brain damaged as the Batman premise, and Romero wrote it himself.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Batman wearing armor is on par with blah blah bibbty blah.

Joker with make-up is on par with....

it's all fiction. And it's all up to interpretation.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yeah, but...some interpretation's are stupid. :lecture

Seriously, have some of you guys not grasped the concept of a limit?

"I'm Batman, I kill, and my costume is fabulous"
"I'm the Joker, and I love exotic rodents. Are you going back to the bathhouse after the parade?"

How do you feel about Batman murdering Dent in TDK?

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

^ Great point. I wouldnt call it "murder"...but he for sure killed him.

I love both series. Batman 89 is a classic, and the Nolan series is just amazing. So...rawr.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Well i'm SURE you don't really see it that way, or do you? It was collateral damage from saving the kid...

Well, no using the term "murder" is harsh but he still kills Dent. It's a necessary evil to save Gordon's son, I understand that but it's still killing. It doesn't bother me either, I'd do the same thing. Innocent kid, Dent's life, Dent is going off that edge.

I'm also fine with blowing up a chemical factory that's producing products that kill off innocent citizens and throwing a guy down a stairwell that just beat the hell out of me and would most likely kill me.
