Oh, that's totally cool. It's just when you get into conversations with someone people who are so far in that they're completely closed-minded to all other opinions... that does get annoying.

Lately, we haven't even been able to get to that level of discourse, it's been all "my movie can beat up your movie" in every single thread.

I never understood the idea that some people fanboying/nerdgasming over anything should detract from others' enjoyment of it

Not a cosplayer myself but they don't bother me in the least

Difabio is muttering away in some corner as I speak, cursing me for ruining TDKR for him

I give a tip of the cap to cosplayers to behonest. They're willing good or bad to dress up as something they enjoy. I on the other hand am too chicken to even think about it.

Honestly I think the only valid comparison between Avengers and TDKR for example is the BO

As films, they are each trying to achieve completely different things and I'd even say don't even belong in the same genre. I've seen Avengers and it's the best film of its kind I've ever seen

Only thing I'm truly interested in comparing for TDKR is whether it tops Begins and TDK

I want to dress up as Bane, I wouldn't shave my head but maybe get one of those shave head things for the head,

I might do it for halloween, I don't know if they will let you go in the theater with a mask on your face, i doubt it,

I mean, the Bane costume is different than the Joker, I like it more, pretty simple but effective.

and, Seems like A lot of people cried watching the trailer yesterday, on youtube comments you can read, people crying about it,
and then I was looking over at Nolanfans forum I think, and, yeah a lot of guys there cried too.

I honestly don't see what anyone would get out of the new trailer... the whole thing seems like a snoozefest... nothing seems to pull you in, it's like:

"Hey, it's batman and it's been four years... i will go see it."

You can tell they change Bane's voice... however, i wouldn't say it sounds any better... it sounds like it's been overdubbed into the film... and that's exactly the case...

Catwoman... what a joke.

I am sure this will be a good film despite what the trailer is saying to me, but i don't think it will be as good or do nearly as well at the box office as The Dark Knight did.

I guess i would be a little more into it if this wasn't Nolan's final Batman flick... i am afraid this is the wrong way to go out. :/

There will be little chance of nerds cosplaying as Bane, guaranteed, so +1 for TDKR over TDK.

Don't forget, there's also a Catwoman for them to go as.

the way I see it Avengers is the Fun movie, the light movie. the action packed fun summer movie, fun fun fun.

Dark Knight Rises will be the deep movie, the thinking movie, the more serious more dark, depressing movie, of course it will have action, but this movie is going to be so dark,

To be fair that kind of conversation has been lost for a long time. From simple trolling to get under the fan's skin to people who truly are off the reservation in their fandom of stuff, it's been difficult to wade through the bull____ into actual conversation in a number of threads for a long time.
