Re: The Dark Knight Rises

No wishes? He's such a sad character.

Maybe Bruce will give him his first toy -- a little red choo-choo -- and Bane will well up with tears and turn good and help rebuild Gotham. Yay!

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Thaaaaaank you!

At least someone can look at this without being infected with the "Trust in Nolan" bug...

M.
Don't get me wrong. I am a Nolan fan. Have been since I first saw Memento at the theater. But this trailer just didn't do much for me personally.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Im a huge "Avengers" fan, but think this will be a much better movie

We shall see

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

The exploding football field still looks stupid as hell but at least you can understand Bane now.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

yeah the football scene looks stupid but im ignoring that for now and just focusing on the good,

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Based on how things are shaping up, I feel like the football scene is just a component of the overally destruction of life as people know it. Sports are a huge part of American life, since Nolan treats Gotham as an American city, it's fitting that someone like Bane attacking the way of life for those with money, would even go after something like sports, especially with a large audience to behold it all.

And something else more significant also happens in that scene, the money shot of which is shown in the new trailer in a split second.

The Mayor is blown to bits

I was wondering about that, maybe the Explosion of the Football stadium is to get to him only,

Are you sure they're the same scene? The way the trailer's cut, I can't tell if they're actually connected or just spliced together that way in the trailer. Same goes for Batman and Catwoman talking to each other towards the end, it's cut like each's line is to the other in that moment, but they could be separate in the actual movie. That's what I enjoy about trailers, they don't really spoil, they just inspire a guessing game as to how things will unfold and I'm usually at least 50/50 as far as what I'm right about and wrong about.

I am 100% sure about that scene, stumbled on some spoilers a while back for that particular moment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

so,
is there a chance this might be better than the first two.

is that a first?

usually sequels are good, mostly they suck
but a third movie that is amazing, that doesn't happen often,
will this break new ground?

Goldfinger, Return of the Jedi, Last Crusade, and Bourne Ultimatum are all good third movies in their respective franchises. It's all opinion if they're as good or better than the originals.

As for SUPERHERO third acts, this would be a first as far as general consensus goes. But for me personally? No. I prefer Batman Forever to bother Burton films. No lie.
