I think you're getting very confused hahaha

I think:

- Starts with Peace time, Batman's been retired for a while, things are good, Batman taking the fall for Dent's crimes has worked. People think Dent died a martyr and the Harvey Dent act has given Gordon the leverage he needs to clean up the streets
- But underneath the surface trouble is brewing, there's been inequality in society for a long time and it's only getting worse
- Bane arrives - causes serious havok in a bid to draw out Batman
- This is where Wayne asks Fox to get him back in the game from what I gather
- He is very quickly defeated by Bane in the sewer fight - possibly with Catwoman helping Bane lure Batman to that spot.
- Bane imprisons him, and wants to hurt him by destroying Gotham while Wayne is helplessly trapped along with other prominent members of Gotham's high society
- Wayne finds a way to escape
- Batman works with the cops to fight Bane's army
- Batman wins, but at some cost... maybe gets permanently injured, maybe dies

Big questions marks for me...
- JGL
- Ra's
- Talia

Maybe poorly executed but that's what I was trying to briefly say at the last paragraph. :) And yes - I like that they are being quite on these last three. I personally feel there is a big part of this that has not even been hinted at yet.

I wonder if all of Bane's goons will simultaneously die once Batman destroys the LOS mothership with the nuke?

:yess: Between this and your "we fall so Hulk can catch us" You win 3 internetz today.

What seems to come across in the trailer is that Bane gets Wayne early on - the water fight Batman broken and captured - and Gotham is sieged. Wayne escapes then wants back in the game. That order is what is throwing it off to me because it hints that the cain is due to his run in with Bane - then there are scenes with him living as Wayne again in what seems normal times before the last battle.

Now - as we talked about I can't feel the tone on this film yet and I still don't like the war aspect but I'm jut saying that the trailers are not doing it any favors in selling the story because it comes across so disjointed.

Personally - I think it's crap. I think Wayne starts out on a cain from his gunshot and fall at the end of TDK - hears that Bane is coming and THEN get's back in the game. Fails and captured by Bane when they face off and later escapes the "Rises" to defend Gotham and saves the day with Catwoman's help. Batman reigns - the end. With a whole lot of awesome thrown in, or at least that's what I am hoping for. :)

I'm getting a different vibe of the order of events totally different than your first paragraph and more in line with your last paragraph. Injured and cane-using Bruce in Wayne Manor (both with neatly groomed beard and clean-shaven) is probably pre-Bane first fight. Don't know which trailer suggests Bane did that to him. Post-Bane fight he is living in the prison, and his beard is scruffy and discheveled. When he escapes he's shaven again and he goes to see Lucius ("get me back in the game") that's before the final Bane showdown. Lots of things happen in a disjointed order in the trailer, but there are some clues to help guess the correct order.

EDIT: More or less what void said.

Nam is coming

I'm sorry. :lol

:yess: 3 :yess:

I'm shooting for the grand prize:

A dress up screening of TDKR with Void and Nam. :yess:

I'm going as Hulk :yess:

Void is the little kid with JGL. :yess:

Nam is Bane. :lol

The latest trailer is epic.:yess:

Can anyone speculate as
to what the final fight scene is?

Yup

the big battle is a methapor for the Marvel vs DC box office battles taking place.

Bane's revolution represents WB/DC frustration with not being able to get a JL movie off the ground.

Talia represents GL Box office performance, that _____ is going down!

How cool would it be if Bane is a robot controlled via remote control by Talia and the LOS were behind Skynet! :yess:

Man, I totally just guessed the reboot.

Going back and watching some of the old coverage is pretty cool:

Haven't watched any TV spots since the second one and I'm not watching this. Glad skeptics are getting excited. Can't wait for this marathon! :panic:

Still wish batman had a new suit. Weird how they just said screw it he doesn't need one. It would make sense since bane destroys it.

As much as I wanted a new suit for this film (it's been a tradition that's been dating back to 1989), I've learned to let it go.

It doesn't really make sense that he'd have a new suit anyway considering Bruce Wayne hasn't been Batman for 8 years since the end of TDK. He has kept the suit, the equipment and the bike stored away in his retirement.

Though now that I think about it, if Fox has made the Bat in anticipation of Wayne's possible return, what would stop him creating a new and improved Batsuit?

He ordered 10,000 cowl parts in Begins. I think he's got a spare suit or two...besides, if that is his *one* suit, how do you know Bane destroyed it? All we see is that the cowl definitely gets broken. In TDK Lucius whips up the new suit from a just few doodles in seemlingly a few days.

I think Nolan had no story-reason to have a new suit in this one, so he didn't force it in. Do you wish there was a new suit because you don't like the look of the TDK suit? That's fine. But if you want a new suit, just because it's a new movie, I think that's kind of silly.
