In the movie Bruce is conflicted with either being Batman or Bruce Wayne. Out of compulsion he chooses to be Batman until he is crippled or dead. Batman sacrifices his life for Gotham by using the bat to take the doomsday device out the city. In an instant the vehicle and device are gone in a brilliant explosion. He dies.

John Blake becomes the new Batman. Ceremony for Batman like Gotham did for Dent in the beginning of the film.

People are already talking that she'll be nominated and would likely win for her role in Les Miserables as best supporting actress.

It's no different (and way less extreme) than actors like Christian Bale gaining/losing weight for roles.
