Lol. I play most of my games on Steam. Not much of a console fan. Maybe for parties, but I mostly play online stuff. So yeah.

Just went through some reviews for this on steam, I'm so happy I didn't blind buy! What a shame.

The Evil Within on Steam

Why let the opinions of others decide for you? I don't expect any kind of discernable answer, but this kinda post always kills me.

'Gosh I was gonna play it, but cause random strangers hate it....PASS!!!'

loving it so far, anyone's DLC code not working for the fighting chance pack? I'm on ps4..

Code worked fine for me on PS4.

Only thing thats taking getting used to: widescreen aspect ratio. I actually am annoyed that I have to toggle up to look so much.....its cool that they did it, so few games have done so, but its just odd for me

Did you read any of them? It isn't the game mechanics or even the story that is the problem. It is the 30fps lock with performance dips even at that, I can run Crysis 3 at 80fps! It smacks of a lazy console port, and up to 30% of the screen taken up by black bars, no thanks. Until it is improved I will be avoiding it personally. I hate the lazyness of some developers when they are given a platform like the PC and do nothing with it and refuse to pay hard earned money in cases like this.

Ok, the black bars took me 15 min to adjust. Its in 2:39:1 widescreen, and I know it was done for creative reasons. True, i would have preferred the option between that and the 1.85.1. I will say the 30fps is horsecrap....but don't let that from letting you enjoy the game. There is more to it than framerates man.....

ok, onto the game. Minor spoiler......

So, the character gets his leg cut in chapter 1. You have to make your way very slowly to the end of the area and get to an elevator. Getting on the elevator your leg is injured still; but end of elevator ride = you ankle just magically healed. WTF?

Sorry, fixed.

I will say this: cutscene at end of chapter 1 is not what I expected ....at all.......it actually kinda blew my mind. While I do wish the game was 60fps, I am loving the old school feel to it. Does have a Silent hill meets Outlast vibe to it
