Finally got him. Achievement calls him the 'sadist.' Took 4 shotgun shells and two flame bolts.....lol...yeah! Look around that area; lots and lots of goodies to use/save up.

Thanks for the heads up, i'll look around some more before he gets loose.
Ch4 right now, and I have 21 bullets for my revolver, another 6 for the shotty, and 4 for the hunting rifle. Not including the arrows for my crossbow......ammo is less rare that I expected.
The chest outside the barn has a bomb - you need to crouch and disarm first.....

Where'd you get a hunting rifle? I know you get the sniper in either ch5/6...
Sorry, i was confused. It ended up being that I hotkeyed both the shotgun and double barrel mode at the same time. Took the other for a rifle.....
man.. I dont mind dying once in a while but what I hate is.. if you have like 40min of gameplay and they you die because there is no saving option in between.. Chapter3 .. when you are in that little village to find the chainsaw .. I looted what I could find.. then I found the chainsaw guy.. and because I stupid mistake on my end I died.. all to get thrown back to where you start.. SUCKS

But there is a save spot in ch3...you just didn't look hard enough.
Just did about 90 more minutes ( im pacing myself, waited so long for the game i didnt want to do it in a day or 2)
So after 30 minutes of mindlessly walking around at the start of a chapter it turns out what i needed to progress was to look at something. ... ok then. Next chapter looks nice but then you are swamped by endless hordes of beasts while you try to do your mission. Once the mission is done, no life left no bullets. The depth perception in the shooting really really hinders this game. Ive stopped going for head shots now. If you have 6 bullets 4 of them whiz past their ears. Instead what i do is knee cap them so they fall and throw a match on them. Failing that just shoot their chest.
The clunky controls, bad depth perception and constant action are really giving me a headache.
Im enjoying the game. But its very much action horror no matter what the aesthetics try to mask.

But you just said that when you're done with a section you're left with no bullets/items and have to find more...

What chapter do u get the crossbow? Its allowing me to custom make ammo for the bow, but I don't have it yet.

Its in chapter 3.
I stand corrected, its Survival Action. There is no real horror or scare. Theres attempts of it. But when every chapter you see more of these guys than you do Ganados in Re 4 it looses its mystique. Especially when you have to relive the " defeat wave after wave of grunts until the time is up " each level which makes it feel like RE's mercenaries mode. Theres a lack of life and ammo, because theres so much action. When theres a shortage of ammo, theres always ammo laying around from the guys you kill, in desks but you burn through it so fast because your constantly fighting.
The saving, for me, has been a nonissue. I seem to hear the music from the mirror often in each ch...never had to backtrack more than 5 min or so.........I am going slow too........getting a lot of stealth kills...finally seen the enemies come back to life if you don't use matches..first two levels I couldn't understand why we had those....
I haven't seen any save spots in chapter 3 in that village and I been in every single house...I will try these days again I guess
What I dislike is that you are way to much zoome into the character..
When you first enter the area, the big house is to the left, smaller one to the right. The mirror is just left of the front door in the right side building area....Moment you enter the front, you should hear it coming from behind a closed door. There seems to be a statue in every chapter....those can also be used to unlock the lockers in the saving area
I always burn any pre-dead bodies i find if i have the matches. Most of the time theres nothing, but sometimes there is rewards ala XP and maybe a statue to smash and get a key. The save points are not as safe as you may think either, some of them actually break due to triggered events in the game leaving you without it. Theres also one story element/encounter with enemy i skipped by going a different route not knowing it existed where as other people encountered it. There is bits in the game that may alter slightly to make each persons experience different.
I've got this for the PC. Looks amazing. There are command consoles that allow you to go beyond 30FPS and to cheat. One of them is unlimited ammo, one which will allow you to walk through walls, and the other is god mode. I beat up a whole horde of monsters with one arm.

Are you using keyboard/mouse or a controller? If a controller which one?
