Looks very very good! It is a must for me as a huge fan of the originals

Yeah I agree woff that song has been butchered by Karen O and Trent and for me doesnt really work with the tone of the film

I think it would work okay with just Trent's music. What has me most excited for this film is that it looks to be a return stylistically to Se7en for Fincher. This will be my Christmas film for sure this year.

HD trailer released, still not sure on the theme song

Without having heard her speak a word and just based on look alone from this trailer; Rooney has already made me completely forget about Noomi. Her look is so accurate to the novel it's crazy. Now if her acting ____s it up that's another thing. I don't think we'll have that problem though.

I'm not either. In fact I can't think of a single American remake I prefer (including The Departed). The only reason I'm excited is Fincher. From what I've read they've completely changed the ending from the book though, so I'd expect some outrage if it doesn't work.

Woff that is an outrage!!!

I'm pretty torn on this, on one hand I'm a fan of Fincher and Daniel Craig, on the other hand the swedish versions with Noomi and Micheal are really going to be hard to beat. I'm actually more worried about Craig playing Blomkvist, Micheal has a everyman look about him, kinda worn down by life, were Craig is much more hard gun blazing character.

Are they even going to do the trilogy or just the one film?

I'll probably wait till dvd for this though, I bought the swedish blue ray versions recently.

Really? I thought the swedish versions were mediocre at best. Noomi was the only saving grace, as she had the part down, but Michael was just awful, nothing like the character in the book.

And of course, this isn't a remake of those films anyway, since there's a book that the material comes from.
