Thanks MaulFan, Pjam, Nash, Shai, et al.

I think I am generally misunderstood. I may seem abraisive, but mostly I am being sarcastic and ardent in my critiques. I am indeed very passionate about getting the right "look" as I'm sure pjam and other impassioned freaks here understand. I have never hated SSC. To the contrary, I love SSC. I think they are a terrific company with lots of great and really talented people. It pains me to see the quality of work suffer and I am very vocal about it because I only want to see it get better and to attain the potential that I know SSC can achieve. And I love you Freaks (well, some of you anyway). I may be diametrically and vehemently opposed to Josh in our political beliefs but honestly, I respect his (narrow-minded) opinion and I think of him like a brother (the one you love to fight with) because giving him s*** is so much fun. I never had any intention to do harm unto him even though breaking his lightsaber in half would amuse me to no end. :lol

It's all good. I don't take what's said here too personally unless my family gets brought up in the convo. :duff

I can't wait to see a pic of J1 and Dekdave together s-hitfaced at SDCC. Maybe its wishful thinking but that would make SSF History.

I am very curious to see what Les does with Captain Faramir's. I have no doubt that he will have his beloved Faramir looking the way it should be, God knows he's waited and obsessed (putting it mildly) over this figure for so long he deserves the best.

Thanks! That's really nice of you to say. I know you're interpreted as being mean and harsh, but I know that you're not so--a lot of times the way we write casts the wrong impression. While I wish the Faramir thread could be a no-fire zone and be full of happy posts and nice things to say, I know that nobody here is without flaws--nor without a very good nature.

I'm very grateful to you. I hope it turns out perfect too! I have been, well, maybe over-the-top with this figure. I mean, I've wanted this for years, and owning him now is just amazing. I still can't get over the costume. Every layer is just beautiful--it's incredible! I am so grateful for this figure. I'm sorry if I've been so ridiculously obsessed with him (an astute observation Dave), but it's just really meaningful to have a real honest-to-goodness wish fulfilled. It's been a delight from the start. And the greatest thing is, I don't feel let-down, or that it wasn't what I was hoping it would be.

It's even better.

Don't you worry, when you get Faramir back from Les you will be in eternal Faramir heaven, as if you already weren't..

That I can pass on, thank you. Actually the only Faramir stuff I have is the 1/6 version and the Toy Biz 6" figure. That's all I need; contrary to popular belief, I don't have a Faramir shrine, nor do I have any other collectibles of him. I just have my 1/6--it's all I need.

Now if they made a PF figure . . .
:monkey5

:rotfl

I don't devote that much money to collecting. What little I have goes to food (I gotta eat to put on weight) and clothes, plus college life, ya' know? My figures come second to all that. A PF is as big as I would go. Besides, 1/6 is my favorite scale anyway. I have a home, not a museum. Still, Faramir is totally worth every penny!

Maulfan, great repaint you've done there. Just shows that the sculpt (like i said when the proto was shown) is pretty much right. You've done well on the eyes.... The figure looks great now... and such a cool shot of them all together :D
