I looove the original LOTR trilogy, I can watch those and never feel bored. I'll admit whilst the 1st Hobbit has a certain charm to it, the 2nd was just terrible and I found it incredibly hard to watch. Fingers crossed Jackson gets his mojo back for the final installment .

I must say, that looks much more interesting than the last two. I never said Smaug but I might watch it before this comes out if I see this in theaters.

The lack of Smaug in the trailer makes it kind of obvious to the general audience that he won't be in it much (dies).

What could have been...

It's been a great Hobbit Trilogy though and that for me as a fan of Middle-earth is what I wanted. I believe when this film comes out it will make for a pretty damn fun six movie marathon.
