I don't agree DoS was bloated, but to each his own. Also, like I said, the same stuff was said about LOTR when it first came out. Also, first it was being compared to PT of Star Wars, now it's Transformers. What's next?

It came up shorter than I wanted but it still a solid opening weekend. Some of the wait and see attitude did come from people were not totally happy with AUJ. However, I would be curious how much the crappy weather the east coast had an effect. Lots of folks from the Mid-West east may not have gone to the theater not just to see DOS but any of the movies. Numbers were down across the board this weekend.

I drove thru the blizzard to see it. :rotfl

never read the books, never will. Saw it today, DOS was way better than the first one and was just as good as any of the LOTR films. Tauriel was sexy as hell, and the love connection was surprising and welcoming. Legolas seemed like more of a bad *** compared to his time in the LOTR films too. I'm sure there is plenty of stuff not in the books, but I like a lot of the ties in this film to the LOTR franchise. Even though this film is long like the first, I didn't feel bored at all at any point like the first. Loved it.

Really? I live right down the street from there.

I went to the Marcus Ultrascreen, but it wasn't playing on the ultrascreen in HFR which is what I wanted to see it in.

Oh yeah, i live off of valley creek.

Never been to the ultrascreen how is it?

I didn't realize we lived that close. I live off Valley Creek too.

Ultrascreen was pretty cool when I saw the Hobbit there last year.

They have new seats, which are leather and recline. However they have assigned seating now. You have to pick your seats. Kind of annoying, but oh well.

How's Jye Jr.?

Still on antibiotics/steroid combo.

Hopefully this should finally get rid of his sinus/ear infection. :(

Thank you for asking.

He's laying down watching 89 Batman, just checked sleeping, he's missing Bob getting shot and killed.

Wait until I unleash Returns on him. :lol

Wife and I are watching Lurtz do his magic. :lol

Lurtz PF is one I wish I bought. :(

Good. Temperature is going down?

And yeah, Batman Returns is more for those who have hit puberty. You don't want him to see bitten noses or asking what a "french flipper trick" is.

I saw batman returns when I was 3. Really freaked me out but I liked it only because of batman.

Here they have snow levels that you have to follow. Level one is just a be careful warning, level 2 is you only drive if you're going to work and level 3 is you can't be on the roads or you'll get ticketed. We were in level 2 and in some places it was level 3 all day Saturday. Our schools are on a two hour delay for tomorrow and some are even closed. I'm betting most of the state of Michigan was closed down. It could've affected box office a tad bit.

I believe Level 3 has a Hobbit exemption. :rotfl

Hell, it could've been a level 15 and Josh still would've went. :lol

In MN we are used to a lot of snow. Roads didn't even shut down during a blizzard a few years ago where we got 19' of snow. I remember driving on the Highway and it having a foot of snow.

Now we're talking. :yess:

Your city and state is probably better at keep it removed. Ours only keeps the main highway that runs through our town clean. Side streets have to wait.
