This is one of those times I'm glad that he doesn't. I don't think a lumberjack/grizzly adams/Hagrid Clone would look good. I actually like they did something different with this character.

I'm not surprised. :rolleyes2

As someone else said, PJ could've cast Bilbo as a woman, or made Smaug a sheep, and it seems like you'd defend the decision. :lol

I really mean it as no offense, but I do find it amusing.

As long as Bilbo doesn't magically float away and spend the movie floating in space...Josh will be happy. :wink1:

I'm not offended. If it was a close friend saying this stuff I might be.

Beorn's not a character I have a close connection to so changes to him I can roll with. I also want to see how he acts in the movie to see if the spirit of the character is still there. If he still gives off the same feeling I get from the book I will be pleased. I'm a pretty hardcore Tolkien fan so I don't just accept things easily. There are almost all designs and looks I have my mind made up for so I won't just accept anything. There were several of the Dwarves I needed to see in action before warming up to. I expect Beorn to be the same. Jackson has done enough to earn the benefit of the doubt for me until I see it in the movie.
