Wow, what is that? You mean I could draw on that thing using a PC? I'm so left illiterate on technology, I barely know how to set up my internet. :lol

:lol yeah. There's different sizes, and different versions setup for art, comic, photo editing etc. But they're all technically the same but just come with different software. I can clue you into better software than what it comes with for free. There's plenty of pretty good programs floating around.

I use PaintToolSai. It's a middle of the road one that gets the job done for my needs. Although I haven't researched any programs lately, I might be able to find a better one.

It's really no trouble at all to set one up.

It's going to be stunning to run it and my PC isn't all choppy and slow from it since I have so much more RAM now.

My brother got me a pretty cheap one probably about 6 years ago that I never really used. I should dig it up and find out if it's still in working condition. I'm sure it's so outdated that it's nothing like the ones out now though. I want to upgrade my iPad Air to a normal-sized iPad Pro at some point so I can draw on it, but those things are ****ing expensive.

I'd like an iPad Pro since it's functions as a portable PC tablet that essentially has the same functionality for art purposes. Although that went out the window when I saw the prices :lol

That sounds cool! I mean, I know there are tablets for drawing but I didn't know there were those mousepad thingy. The last time I drew was in 2010 for the MGS contest and I only know the cavemen method of using pencils. :lol

I remember that, snazzy spin on Shinkawa's artwork. I'll dabble with doing MGS at some point.

I haven't been excited about any Black Friday or Cyber Monday shopping this year. I might try to get a couple prints from Mondo on Friday, but I'm usually just setting myself up for disappointment when I try to get anything from them. Hopefully Sideshow will have some decent stuff up for sale other than Stormtroopers and Iron Man ********.

Nothing on Sideshow's Black Friday list sparked my interest this year. Looks like they finally sold out of the Chitauri 2-pack and Jor-El. If I gave a **** about the Chitauri I probably would have bought them since the price was basically 2 figures for the price of 1.

Broke down and finally ordered a new digital drawing tablet. Bateman's art really lit a fire under my *** to get a new one, since I managed to lose the pen to my old one... and the cost of a replacement... I might as well just buy a new one. It was outdated anyway.

I bought a Wacom Intuos Touch version. Only $84. I get it tomorrow, so maybe if I get time I'll post some art tomorrow.

Paint Tool Sai is f'ing fantastic. Probably my favourite art program of all time - sadly can't run it on a Mac at all though. Check out the beta version of Sai 2, it's got tons of new features including some of the best perspective-drawing tools I've seen anywhere.

Tried an iPad Pro and Apple Pen, hated it. Screen is too smooth, you get zero grip or resistance from the pen tip.

Nice!

Haven't been posting very regularly due to busyness and cooling interest in collecting. That said I did pick up a belated birthday present for myself, something I've wanted for the better part of a decade:

It was this or the Mezco Armoured Batman. The fact that I've loved the Guyver for as long as I can remember being conscious won out.

That's a great-looking figure! You should definitely try to pick up the Mezco Armored Batman at some point. I was really impressed with it.

I didn't realize there was a new release of it. After tinkering for an hour after finding a free version of it, I got it working. Strangely, the pen cursor wasn't matching the placement on the tablet itself but I got it sorted. I definitely like it better than the first and I like the new tools to use like the ruler and ellipse.

Nice Guyver, I've been tempted to get that one for awhile. Never read the Manga or watched the Anime, only saw the two live action films :lol

It's pretty damn amazing for a figure from 2006. I'm impressed enough to try and collect the full set, but that's going to be a very expensive proposition...

Oh man, you're missing out. The second Guyver film, Dark Hero, is a decent stab at adapting the series on a microbudget - but you really need to see the 1989 OVA series, it's a relatively compact 12 episodes. The manga is also fantastic once it kicks into gear and the creator polishes his drawing skills, but it's still ongoing, believe it or not. I spent a couple of days laid up in bed ill recently and read the whole thing online from volume 8 (where they stopped translating it years ago) all the way up to volume 31...

I hate having to work on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Had a day off, work a day, then have 2 days off. I'd much rather just have a 4-day weekend.
