I've came to embrace the defects that comes with my figures unless it's super obvious. I know I'll go crazy since I think most, if not all my figures have some kind of flaw or another. :slap :lol

Same here. I won't accept anything that's glaring, but if the defect can be hidden or isn't noticeable from normal viewing distance then I usually just keep it as-is.

I'm still waiting on my replacement Julie Newmar statue from Sideshow. Today it has been one month since I sent them a replacement request. Last Friday they finally sent me a return label and I shipped the statue. They'll probably get the damaged statue Wednesday--wait until the next Monday or Tuesday to ship the replacement--and I'll get it 3-4 days later. I'm looking at about 6 weeks to get the replacement from request to arrival.

Here's a true story- my friend once asked me if I could pick up the HT BvS Armored Bats from a seller at my state, and asked me to inspect the figure top to bottom. I drove several miles and met the seller, did the requested inspection and saw no defects, so I paid for it and went to the post office the next day to send it to my friend. I did this all for free because I thought my buddy was kinda short on cash at the time.

Once the figure arrived to my friend, he was horrified that it was missing a grenade, and was incredibly anxious about it- going so far as to making ads wanting to buy the grenade and even listed the figure for sale in order to buy a "pristine" one. I tried to comfort him saying it's just a lousy grenade- totally nonessential to the figure (let alone a character like Batman) but to no avail as it caused him great distress.

Few months later, he reexamined the photos I sent him during the meet up with the seller and noticed that it DID had the grenade, so it seems it must have popped out when I was inspecting it. Neither of us were aware that it was my fault and he immediately leaned towards me paying an auction on eBay for a replacement grenade. Needless to say, my intention to make someone's day end up costing me $25 to pay for his auction which, don't get me wrong- I felt dutiful to pay but goes to show how much all these nonsense could consume you if you're too worried about having "imperfect" figures.

Am I mad about it? Not a bit. I'm still glad I helped out a friend. But it does leave me trepedatious. I mean, what do I chat about with him next time? "Hey buddy, how's that grenade in your Batman collection holding up?"

you should send him a bill for mileage and an hour or 2 of labor... lol

yeah i've found if you stress too much over this crap it takes the fun out of it. i get you want perfection, and god knows with the raping prices they are slapping on stuff now it's only going to get worse... but no matter what... if you pull out magnifying glasses, you'll always find defects. they exist in all this stuff. part of the game and as such, in my opinion, you should accept it going in.

**** Monday and **** tomorrow too. I'm excited to go to Dallas this weekend, but I have a ton of end-of-the-month stuff to do before I leave.

I thought about upgrading my iPad to an iPad Pro. The 9.7" version with wi-fi/cellular and 256GB is ****ing $929. That doesn't include the $99 pencil. For a thousand dollars Apple can't throw in the ****ing pencil? Looks like I'm going to pass.

apple's prices just keep climbing every year at ridiculous rates... i think the last silly phone was pushing $900... which is absurd. the part that really is nutz is the price they are hitting you for storage. 128 gb costs you $100! such a scam... last 2 tb drive i bought was like 90 bucks shipped...

I'm absolutely slammed at work but had to take a break to preorder this from BBTS :rock :rock

Jesus, they really are getting damn good at this scale. I'd say my only complaint with their work is that the heads could be cleaner, but I think it's not much of an issue since only so much can be done at this scale. Although Figuarts is doing some amazing work too with their heads... some of them anyway.

I saw the specialist about my knee yesterday. He wants an MRI on it, as I expected. If there's nothing wrong with my knee, I don't know what the hell to do.

Yeah, the heads are the only aspects that I'm not crazy about, but overall the figures are pretty damn good for the scale and materials they're using. I'm really looking forward to their Darkseid figure even though I'm sure it'll be expensive due to the size and light-up eyes.

they have been killing it!

i've resisted getting into the line cause i know i'll end up grabbing the lot... and i am straight up out of room!

I had to get injections on my left knee to add cushion around the kneecap. I had a torn meniscus and very little cartilage left. I can't remember what the name of the stuff they used was, but it's helped immensely. I haven't had any issues with my knee for a few years. Hopefully yours will be something like that instead of requiring surgery.

I'm trying not to get too many, but I already have Armored Batman, BvS Superman, Classic Captain America, and 2 Dredds and a Lawmaster. Plus, the regular Superman and now Red Son Superman preordered. :slap

He said the X Rays were fine as well as the movement and strength in my knee. He said it could be the cartilage, that it could be a nice smooth road with a tiny pothole in it that's causing all of this. I really hope it's not my knee at all. My right knee bothers me sometimes as well but no where near my left. He said it could be due to it working harder than the left by compensating it.
