Gotta send Skull Knight back... I just noticed it's missing paint on the back near his spikes. Hopefully customer service at threezero fixes this.
I've came to embrace the defects that comes with my figures unless it's super obvious. I know I'll go crazy since I think most, if not all my figures have some kind of flaw or another.
Here's a true story- my friend once asked me if I could pick up the HT BvS Armored Bats from a seller at my state, and asked me to inspect the figure top to bottom. I drove several miles and met the seller, did the requested inspection and saw no defects, so I paid for it and went to the post office the next day to send it to my friend. I did this all for free because I thought my buddy was kinda short on cash at the time.
Once the figure arrived to my friend, he was horrified that it was missing a grenade, and was incredibly anxious about it- going so far as to making ads wanting to buy the grenade and even listed the figure for sale in order to buy a "pristine" one. I tried to comfort him saying it's just a lousy grenade- totally nonessential to the figure (let alone a character like Batman) but to no avail as it caused him great distress.
Few months later, he reexamined the photos I sent him during the meet up with the seller and noticed that it DID had the grenade, so it seems it must have popped out when I was inspecting it. Neither of us were aware that it was my fault and he immediately leaned towards me paying an auction on eBay for a replacement grenade. Needless to say, my intention to make someone's day end up costing me $25 to pay for his auction which, don't get me wrong- I felt dutiful to pay but goes to show how much all these nonsense could consume you if you're too worried about having "imperfect" figures.
Am I mad about it? Not a bit. I'm still glad I helped out a friend. But it does leave me trepedatious. I mean, what do I chat about with him next time? "Hey buddy, how's that grenade in your Batman collection holding up?"
I saw the specialist about my knee yesterday. He wants an MRI on it, as I expected. If there's nothing wrong with my knee, I don't know what the hell to do.
they have been killing it!
i've resisted getting into the line cause i know i'll end up grabbing the lot... and i am straight up out of room!
I had to get injections on my left knee to add cushion around the kneecap. I had a torn meniscus and very little cartilage left. I can't remember what the name of the stuff they used was, but it's helped immensely. I haven't had any issues with my knee for a few years. Hopefully yours will be something like that instead of requiring surgery.
