I didn't watch it last night, but I heard it was awesome. I'll get to it tonight for sure. Can't believe the season is already over halfway finished.

MOTHER. ****ER. I just found out that Terence Stamp was at the London Film and Comic Con at the end of July. I could have taken a trip to London and met him instead of going to SDCC.

****ING URSA WAS THERE TOO  :gah:

Damn, that's awesome that they were there together. Is he rare at cons?

I'd give up my first born to meet Kurt Russell and David Hayter.

He never goes to conventions. I couldn't even tell you the last time he was at one. It's unbelievable that I didn't hear about him being there so I guess I'm going to have to look at every damn convention here and abroad to see if he'll pop up somewhere. If all else fails, I may have to track him down like a stalker and show up at his house.

Yeah definitely go full stalker and camp out on his social media accounts. I'm sure he'll be at another one. He's not decrepit looking so I think you got time.

He's 79 so I don't want to wait too long, but at least he's not sick. Hopefully he'll show up at a convention again in the next year or so. Gonna have to get my passport renewed!

Maybe start stuffing some savings under your mattress just for when the time comes just so you know you can jump on it immediately.

:lol I'll be on high alert for the next couple years. Then out of nowhere, I'll grab my wife in the middle of night while shouting, "We have to go! We have to go now!" Stash some go-bags by the door, grab them on the way out, and jump on a plane!

I have to go to Atlanta this weekend for a convention. Not a fun comic convention, but a boring pharmacy convention. My wife can't go so I'm going by myself which means I will have no buffer to shield me from having conversations with people. The only thing I'm looking forward to about the trip is that they are having the big appreciation night at the Atlanta Aquarium, and they're closing it off to everyone but attendees. Hopefully I'll get to see some weird fish and eat some good food. Otherwise, I'm dreading having to be social with a bunch of people I'll never see again.

Yikes that sounds awful :lol there's conventions my office has to be part of sometimes but I've been lucky enough to not have to take part in it.

They do this one every year, but we've always split it between me, my brother, and my dad. It makes it where I only have to go every few years. Now, my brother and I will alternate every year so I'll have to resign myself to going more often. It wouldn't be as bad if I wasn't going by myself, but I absolutely hate the forced social events. I may just leave and go check out Atlanta. There has to be something to do there besides a dumb *** Walking Dead tour.

So my experiment with Sling TV ($30 per month) has yielded some interesting results: it was totally worth it!

So my cable bill was like $135 for tv and internet bundled (cheap package). I still have the internet but signed up for Sling tv about 2 months ago. It comes with enough channels so I can watch some of my shows. In addition I bought a digital antenna on Amazon for $11 so I can get local news channels (cbs, NBC, fox, abc, pbs) for free.

I also have a Roku which allows me to access hbo go (using a family members service info so I can watch). I also signed up for Netflix.

With everything, I'm saving about $40 a month and still watching all the shows I want and streaming the rest. I still can DVR shows on select channels. The only downside to Sling tv I've found is that it doesn't have discovery channel and I missed shark week!

Yeah, my brother and I own the family pharmacy now. We both moved back to Oklahoma to help my dad with it. He finally decided to retire this year after working it for almost 40 years.

I still haven't made the plunge to being cable-free. I keep telling myself that I will someday.

Soooo...looks like there's World of Coca-Cola near my hotel in Atlanta. I'm gonna get a pic with the Coca-Cola Polar Bear and go to their tasting room.
