Damn skippy quad! :exactly: I couldn't agree with you more.

i've pretty much learned that if i can get it at retail from ssc, and with our dollar at par or near it, i pretty much keep on ordering.

I know there's some exceptions, but for the most part ssc marvel pieces pretty much all appreciate eventually. even The Thing after being in stock for about three or so years is even starting to climb.

that's why even though i don't need or really want Colossus, i'm still gonna keep him coming since he's friggin huge and will be in demand down the road.:lecture

You are a wise veteran quad. I just can't figure out how you missed out on the Skaar EX. :wink1:

yeah, i know how i missed out :monkey2, them were some sad days and in the end it's just a statue, so i'm not upset about it like some on here tend to get. it is what it is and life goes on, it's nice to actually have something to hunt for again, just like back in the days when i was playing catch up.

You guys are making me want to order statues I don't even want just for trade bait or to sell later to get statues I do want....never thought I'd say that.

I was just :stick you. I almost missed out on the Skaar EX myself. If Avfin didn't bail me out with a trade for the piece, I'm right in the same boat you are. You'll get him eventually. There is always deals being made. Enjoy the hunt.

To be honest Josh, the only SSC piece that I want and I don't have is the EX X-MEN vs Sentinel 1 dio. Since it's selling between $1200-$1400, it's not a bad idea to subsidize the dio with an extra piece or 2 via trade or sale. After all, no one is gonna sell it to me for retail and it doesn't have an open ES like the Hulk maquette so....a mans got to do what a mans got to do. :wink1:

I would love to see a whole avengers set to go with hulk. I am sure it would happened. As easy as printing money for sideshow.

Hmmm as much as I love to have them, the rate of SS reveal & release things you might not assemble the team tell the Avengers 2!!

:lol:lol:lol if i was a flipper, then i don't think i'd have a 26' trailer full of mostly full boxes. i personally hate selling anything, but if i have to use something to get the piece i missed then so be it.

I don't think that buying a statue that you plan on keeping and then deciding to sell it down the line because you want to buy another statue or you just need the funds should be called a flipper.

To me a flipper is someone who buys a piece with no intention of keeping it. Just turning around and selling it right away or in the near future at a jacked up price.

took me quite awhile to land that one, there was lots to choose from but waited for one for sale on here and someone willing to ship to Canada.

Congrats quad. The hunt is still on for me. I'll cherish it even more after all the time spent trying to secure one. It's just a matter of time. :impatient:

Totally agree with Jaws, I've sold a few pieces recently to clear space and free up funds.
I was referring to the above statement, buying a piece purely for the belief that it will rise in value= flipper.

:goodpost::exactly: flipper alert. If you don't want it or need it to complete a set then your simply buying to flip it later. That's fine but once you said it don't deny it.

:lol:lol:lol maybe that's why i do it, but i think to become a flipper you actually have to sell something. :dunno which i don't or rarely do. either way label me as you see fit. :pfft::lol

I actually don't think there is anything wrong with it. I mean look at the joker right now. If you had bought two of those it would have been smart as there are people begging for an ex now. It the nature of the hobby to pick up the odd piece with the intent it may fuel future purchases. I wonder sometimes why i didn't order two batman ex. They,ll be a hot commodity come release even with an Ed of 2000.

Yeah I'm begging for a joker ex now. :(

You know it my man. Can't wait to get this big guy. How about you bud? Have it preordered to?

I'm waiting to see about another deal.
If it doesn't go through, I'll have the funds for this.

By the way, does anyone know of etailers NOT in California that are preordering this (other than alteregocomics)? Any feedback would be most helpful. Thanks.

Good luck bro with whatever your hunting. Hope you do get one of these hulks eventually.
