Ha, same here.my parents bought my first one for christmas. it's their fault

Love this Hulk PF over the Hot Toys offering.
Only issue for me is the scale.
At 2 feet tall it won't look right with the Hot Toys Avengers in 1/6. Then again, this wasn't intended to be displayed with those figures anyway.
I may just have to display this one on it's own.
Or get the other Avenger PF's
I was just looking into this option, but I can't seem to find any of the other Avengers members available in premium format. The only versions I'm finding is the one from their respective movies.
Any links or help would be greatly appreciated.
Wow! Nice!
How long ago are we talking about when they were sub $200?
Yep. It would make much more sense to pick up closed ES or sold out pieces first. I would pick up Skaar, Joker, or Rhino before ordering the Hulk maquette if funds are tight. There may even be other older SSC pieces you might want to add before the maquette. Adding pieces like that to your collection is a wiser use of your money IMHO. The maquette will be there for years to come. Some of those other pieces I mentioned are already starting to sell for some serious coin. Secure the closed ES pieces you like first. Your wallet will thank you for it later.
This is not possible for international buyer like me. Once this is open for preorder, local retailer will offer good discount for a window period to secure this. And once the pre order is closed you can get it at retail and if the retail units available is sold out the only choice is direct from sideshow where shipping will probably be $100 or more and customs another 30% of the total cost i.e. cost plus shipping....
Another thing it is not possible to get from individual seller from US as from experience recently to ship a Spiderman Comiqutte it will cost me USD500... so end up I nvr got the this...
Therefore I have already placed my order locally for both this and galactus on the first week of order.

That's all you will find.
Hulk and Black Widow are the only Avengers PF's, as far as I'm aware.
As you said IM, CA and Thor are from their own Individual movies.
I would not be surprised to see new Avenger specific versions of these characters in the not too distant future.

I would love to see a whole avengers set to go with hulk. I am sure it would happened. As easy as printing money for sideshow.
Everyone needs to know what scenario works best for them. My only point was that some of these closed ES pieces are starting to skyrocket in price. If you are a new international collector who wasn't able to secure some older pieces but know you want them, they should be a priority. If you are looking to score the EX Skaar or Joker, don't wait. Pick those up first. Those pieces will continue to rise in price. The Hulk maquette is a fixed cost. Worst case scenario for international buyer is direct from SSC with shipping and taxes added on. Not so with the other pieces I mentioned. If you save a couple hundred bucks on the maquette but add other closed ES pieces at hundreds more, you can still lose money in the long run
If you are a long time collector with pretty much all the pieces you want in your collection, POing this is a wise move. If you have the money to round up other pieces you want and can PO this, it's a wise move. However, if money is tight and you want some of SSC's classic grails or some of their super hot recent releases ( EX Skaar & Joker PFs), I think it would be wise to get them first. The Hulk maquette is a fixed cost, the other closed ES pieces I mentioned are not. They continue to rise in the aftermarket.
My whole point in bringing this up is that I wanted newer collectors to know they have options. I want everyone to make decisions with as much info as possible. It is up to each collector to choose what scenario works best for them. You obviously did. Congrats on your PO. I have no doubt this piece will turn out great and look awesome in your collection. The fact that you were able to add it while saving some cash will make it even sweeter.
That's what I'm thinking too.
I hope they all have the same style base as Hulk.
Makes sense to me.
Yeah the final battle scene is the most epic part of the film and that's clearly what the HULK base is meant to represent so it would only be logical to have all the bases reflect that part of the film. It would be awesome.
