I wanted 'Hot Toys' to do a better Hulk, since it's cheaper & will fit in with my collection better, but it isn't really going the way I wanted, although HT have made changes to figures before. But after a bit of thinking, I decided to go ahead & order this 1/4 statue instead. Not used to spending this much on a single piece, & I don't really want to make a habit out of it
I thought of doing the same thing too.
However, I wish that SSC would announce whether or not they will also release the other Avengers.
I've got to have the whole team.
So far, only HT is offering that.

Cap, Black Widow, Thor, and the Hulk will all have available statues from SCC. I could see a rerelease do Iron Man, and new Hawkeye. In the end I could see another line, but the current PFs probably have to sell out first.
I really was considering this, but with the word of a WORLD WAR HULK PF, I just don't know.

I realize that.
It's too bad they're not the Avengers version of them, hence, I believe it's going to be a long while before we see any other PF of those characters.

Thors outfit is pretty much I'd very similar at the end of the avengers as it is in the first film

I am totally on the fence. With the open ES I don't know if I should order it or just wait for the after market. Also, like I said I don't know if I can justify spending $650 on this Hulk and then turn around and spend $380 on a WWHulk statue...lol. Would be two hulks in 1 year...lol

I have not preordered. Like yourself, I'm also on the fence. At $650, I need to feel comfortable with the purchase.
It's a great sculpt, don't get me wrong, but I need to know that the other Avengers will be available (in the same scale) so that my collection doesn't appear to be Hulk-biased... not that that's a bad thing.

Well they better hurry... Either Skaar or Cap from TFA will be my first statue. So if they don't hurry Cap will already be in my collection ...lol.

Don't know if this has been asked. At 40lbs. Is this statue hollow? I believe the original PF was 50lbs.
Yes. Parts of it will be hollow. Same as the Skaar PF.

Skaar is listed as 31lbs Hulk 40lbs.
It's not going to be a solid piece but a good heavy sculpt.

40 lbs is heavy which is good to hear. I am fine with some hollowness but like you said with panther to hollow is not good. I was happy to see this weight and it made my desision to order easier. I hope this is an accurate weight and they don't make a major change to it when the piece is released. For the price I want some substance to this piece. It is Hulk after all.

Remember when SS said 'Hulk Maquette coming soon'?
That took a few months so soon to SS can cover a huge time scale.
