Gonna be the crown Jewel of my Marvel collection.

I'm gonna display this next to my Bowen Statue collection and man, this piece is gonna stand out like Yao Ming on the streets of Shanghai.

Definitely getting this! He will look good beside my MKVI maquette and WM...on a sidenote, funny to see that word "grail" once again in this thread. It's a word that is used in every thread on this board. I guess grails aren't what they used to be :lol

This will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine :lecture

So glad they took a lot of inspiration from Jack Kirby's Hulk.

I have to disagree KD. This looks nothing like the Kirby/Ape like Hulk to me. If it looked anything like that, it wouldn't be added to my collection. It would be a major pass for me if it looked anything like the 1st Hulk PF. This is a very modern looking Hulk. After you see the Avengers, you will know there is no Kirby influence to his appearance or this piece.

wrong...whedon wanted a kirby hulk... and he wanted to stay away as far as possible to the modern Hulk.I'll find you the interview where he said it.

If your a Hulk fan and you don't have this in your collection....your not a Hulk fan.

Yeah, his mouth remind me of the kirby hulk. I think this hulk has a little bit of kirby, a little bit of modern, a little bit of Mark.

Yeah. It's more Kirby then Modern. But he seems to be a combo of both. No flat head, more muscle mass, all ten fingers ;)

But that brow is all kirby.

He looks more like the PF Hulk then the Comiquette Hulk IMO which makes him more kirby.

He made him a little smaller and less ripped than the modern Hulk. However, if his intention was to have this Hulk look like the Kirby Hulk, he failed. This Hulk had all 5 fingers and toes, looks nothing like an ape, and doesn't lumber about. He's mean, green, full of rage, and hard to control. Not some Frankenstein looking monster. Watch the movie Shai, then tell me exactly where you see the Kirby influence.

So the EX will be a print or a name plate?

If the ES is 500 for the EX and 1000 for regular max and the price is 1k, I would still buy it.

Honestly I would be more turn off by the high ES than the high price, I personally like my collectible to be truly "limited" even I don't plan to sell it.

But whatever Sideshow decision is as long as they don't make this an open ES with $2000 price tag, this beauty will be in my collection.

saw it yesterday and its all kirby..first the ugliness of his face, its all kirby, very monster like...modern Hulk in comics tend to have more human features in his face like in nortons hulk he looks like a ripped surfer dude.

he also moves like an ape...

Also, the fact that his pectoral and abdomen area are not at all defined is an ode to what Kirby created.

and finally he's smaller and has the chest hair...all kirby.

Yea I would have to agree completely here. Hard to look at movie stills and promo images and not see the Kirby influence.

I see 100% Jack Kirby's Hulk in the face.

From the large lower lip, protruding lower jaw, tiny nose, long gap between nose and upper lip, shapeless upper lip, very pronounced brow. Man, its 100% Kirby inspired.

It's very similar in design to the premium format also, if this had come out before the premium format you could that the premium format face was a stylized version of this sculpt. This looks like a realistic take on the premium format/kirby art.

If you dont see the extreme similarities that's cool, cause we can both appreciate for different reasons.
