If the ES is 500 for the EX and 1000 for regular max

lol that's a pipe dream, more like 1500 for ex & 2500 for reg.

lara croft has a 1500 es for regular, how did you figure the hulk pf hot on the heels of the avengers movie will have a 1000 es?

Hey I said IF :D

My point is I am willing to pay more for smaller ES, that's just me though I know a lot of people will disagree. No need to argue.

no argument from me, i am same as you. Willing to pay more for small es, but most people just care about the price not the es.

I would say he's mostly Kirby. The problem is, I already have a Hulk PF. Why get another? Funding is probably the only thing preventing me from getting this. Maybe I can sell a few of my other statues for this. Or wait for a comic modern PF or the coming WWH. Meh, excuses, excuses.

He made him a little smaller and less ripped than the modern Hulk. However, if his intention was to have this Hulk look like the Kirby Hulk, he failed. This Hulk had all 5 fingers and toes, looks nothing like an ape, and doesn't lumber about. He's mean, green, full of rage, and hard to control. Not some Frankenstein looking monster. Watch the movie Shai, then tell me exactly where you see the Kirby influence.

The main goal with this Hulk was to have the closest resemblance to the Banner actor of all the CGI Hulks, but the Hulk qualities built around Ruffalo's appearance show clear inspiration from Kirby's work more than any other Hulk design.

If this looked ANYTHING like.....

....this. It would be nothing but a major pass for me. Luckily, I don't see it.

There's one thing that we won't debate anytime soon.....this is a kick ass sculpt that will make its way into our collection.

I'm looking forward to seeing the behind the scenes extras on The Avengers blu ray. Hopefully there is one of the work done with Ruffalo/ Hulk.

This I can agree with. My whole point is that you can clearly see Ruffalo's face in the Hulk. It gives Hulk's face a very human quality. He doesn't look like an Ape. They may have intended to add some of Kirby's influence to the overall look but to me, he doesn't look like the 1st PF. The 1st PF clearly looks like a Kirby Hulk face. The maquette's face looks different and much better to me. As I said in the last post.....if the faces looked anything alike to me, I would pass on this piece in less than a heart beat. To each their own I guess. Bottom line.....it's an AWESOME looking statue.

Why does a small ES matter so much to people? I could see if you buy it with re-selling it in mind but if you buy it to have and display why would you care how many were made?

Because we'd hate to spend big $$$ on a statue and then see it bottom out in the aftermarket. Who likes knowing there pieces are selling for hundreds less than they paid for them? It's not just about re-selling. We can buy it later at a cheaper price and use the extra savings for another statue we may like.

If ES didn't mean anything, SSC and any other company wouldn't waste time creating them in the 1st place.

Well I've never bought a statue with a concern about how much it will be worth in the after market later. I don't view my statues as investments. I do understand and agree that a ES makes it a collectible.. but to not buy a statue you like because of a high ES or concern of future worth seems extreme to me

Sounds like you only read half of filip's post.

It's not just a high ES concern. It's mainly a NO ES concern. While you may not see your collection as an investment....no one likes to possibly lose money on the purchase of a statue. Especially when that money you lose could be used to buy another piece you like. Times are hard enough as is.

I am... Just trying to understand the importance of ES. I would also think that the higher the ES the quality suffers. What is a good ES then less than 1000? Do they calculate ES by pre orders

they used to have the ES set right off the bat. Now, they do it based off of preorders. 1000 is fine but less would be better.
