I like your math peedi!
Ditto. I just wonder what the EX will be if, in fact, there is one. Probably a nameplate, if anything. A print? I just really hope all of these way high guesses on price are way wrong. That is exactly what ruined my chances of scoring the Wolf Predator. I love that statue, but no way am I dropping that load o cabbage.

If there is an EX for the Hulk maquette, I have to believe it's going to be a lame ass nameplate. I would rather have a print. No real collector will ever display this statue with a nameplate. Does anyone really have to guess who the character is? Those are the only 2 options I see. I don't see anything in the WIP shots that allows me to think there can be any switch out parts for the body or head.
:lol You beat my point by two minutes. Get the ____ out of my skull, brother! :panic:

The most obvious pieces to compare it to would be the 24" Colossus with cloth and no lights at $400, or the 23" Abomination with cloth and no lights at $500. I don't see the need for a dramatically higher price point than that. If having the Legacy name on the box will add $200 to the price, then don't put it on the box.

A name plate, really, thats not much of an exclusive. Maybe he'll come with a free Venomasaurus...then everyone would buy the regular version.

Colossus is 24", with cloth, $400
Destroyer is 2" taller at 26", plus light up, $500
War Machine is shorter at 20", but has a more intricate sculpt plus lights at $550.

Not sure exactly how tall Hulk will be but 2" and lights gave Destroyer an extra $100 over Colossus, the most expensive and tallest of the recent PFs.

I know Hulk is larger but with no light up, and a sculpt that isnt as detailed as tech armour since its just a big body and cloth pants, this really shouldn't be more than $550, which is $150 over Colossus.
Big Chap Maquette is just a bit larger than Colossus, and is $800, though.

Amen Brother. I'm still holding out hope this will fall between the $500-$600 range.

As for an EX version to the maquette...I'll take an art print over a lame ass nameplate any day of the week. I have a strong feeling this will be a nameplate. I think that this was a digital sculpt. If that's the case, I would imagine that would rule out an art print. If it's a nameplate, it better be removable.

Why even do nameplates? Is it for collectors with dementia? Id say almost everyone on the street knows who the Hulk is.

Any kind of EX will bring more money to SSC. There is NO discount on any EX version that SSC releases. The REGs are offered at a discount. No discount = more money for SSC. That's why they'll offer a lame ass nameplate to make an EX version of the Hulk maquette. That way they can charge a few bucks more for the EX and not have to offer any kind of discount.

I dunno, brother. I am a 3D sculptor by trade an I work from my own and other's 2D drawings much of the time when laying out the basic modeling of anything I create. There is almost always a 2D design involved in any 3D design. So, let's hold onto hope that the EX will indeed be a print. My EX nameplates won't ever leave the box as long as I own them. Why do I buy the EX one might ask. Because I'm ____ing crazy!!! :panic:

Thanks, just trying to make some kind of sense.

How long did it take the Destroyer EX to sell out. Just looked it up and its an impressive statue.

Not sure.

True, and I didn't think about that. It also has no lights but that sculpt also has a lot more detail going on in it than Hulk does. I imagine prices are not just size dimensions but also somehow take details and labor into account. People love Hulk now but I agree with others, the new fans aren't spending that kind of money on Hulk. They'll just buy the movie DVD release and move on to the next thing.

I do it because I don't want random people that I don't personally know from a board about figures & statues based on make believe characters to call me a failure. :lecture:wave

The best piece to compare this too with regards to price is Destroyer. Although I'm sure the accountants in SS would like to compare it to Neytiri.

Colossus is 24", with cloth, $400
Destroyer is 2" taller at 26", plus light up, $500
War Machine is shorter at 20", but has a more intricate sculpt plus lights at $550.

Agreed. SS read this please.

I don't think Colossus is a good comparison because it's not done by legacy. Remember Neytiri maquette done by legacy is a freakin $1600.

The price on this Hulk will be more than war machine almost guarantee. I think people under estimate the size on this one, he looks much bigger than Destroyer.

Hope they will price him less than 1k and more importantly put a close ES. The only thing that will stop me from buying this if they put an open ES (just like they did with $1k war machine life size bust, which also done by legacy).
