For those that love Rhino, I'll trade you mine for your Skaar.
not sure abt that, i think the ex rhino head will be in more demand, than the reg version, people can be satisified by a skaar ex, but the ex head is everything for Rhino
As awesome as Rhino is, he will be like the Thing PF EX. It's fantastic piece but the character or lack of features (weapons & detail in this case). Skaars demand will be far superior then Rhino. Mark my word & you can quote me on this "In one years time, Skaar will double the value of Rhino"!
Sorry, what is COH?
The Thing PF was so underrated for so long, and still is in many ways. I love that piece.
I don't think you need to justified the trade that Rhino is a better EX then Skaar. Your just very lucky that the guy traded with you & congrats. IMO, Skaar will command more money down the road. It's like trading a BMO for a K-car. You got a better deal of the 2.
LOL! I'm not trying to justify the trade....it's already done. You are correct. I feel very lucky that the guy agreed to the trade. I always feel lucky when I get a statue I want. Trades are always a bit tricky. People value pieces differently so agreeing on a trade isn't always easy. I think comparing Rhino to a K-car is a little over the top. The Rhino is a great statue. They both are. You are saying I came out ahead because Skaar will be worth more. However, at this time we don't know that to be fact. Most importantly, I don't care. If Rhino triples in value and Skaar stays where he is at now, I'd still feel good about the trade. I have a character I WANT in my collection. So it's all good. The bottom line is I don't buy pieces because I expect them to go up in value. I buy pieces that I think look great and are characters I like.
Buy/trade for what you like. You'll always have fewer regrets that way. Chasing what other people value or think is hot never worked for me. Buying what I like...does.
I think you missed the point of my post when you quoted me. I wasn't commenting on the future value of the Skaar and Rhino statues. I'll leave that argument to the experts. My whole point was that as an EX, a great COH is hard to top. The Rhino statue wouldn't be nearly as awesome without the COH. Skaar would still look great without all the switch out parts. I would still buy Skaar if the EX was nothing more than a print. I wouldn't even consider buying Rhino without the COH. I feel the COH is crucial to the Rhino statue. The switch out parts for Skaar, while very nice, are not essential to the statue IMHO. Again, this is just my opinion.
I look at this. Skaar sold out in 8 hours & Rhino almost 3 weeks. People just like Hulk or a Conan type statue regardless if it is Skaar. You got yourself a badass statue.....
The truth be told ..The Thing is the most underrated PF made. And like The Incredible Hulk a perfect sculpt, huge and heavy.750 Ex were made.Plus he goes great with the Hulk PF.
Thanks Chapter

Jack Kirby created The Thing in 1961 one year before he created the Incredible Hulk. And you can still find The Thing PF EX at a great price.
If you want to see a big box, abomination.
If you want to see a big box, abomination.
Yah once I found out how big the box was, I end up deciding not to buy it. This is the first time I let a box dictate if I should buy a statue or not
skaar ex worth a bit more now, but down the road rhino ex could be right up there for the simple fact the ex head is a must, you cannot get that with regular. Skaar ex is nice but a reg skaar looks just fine as well, but a reg rhino is like a different statue noone wants...
you guys get way too worked up lol. I learned my lesson and now have all the ex releases POed (unless it's just a print), my last miss with the capt pf ex luckily that converted. So i am finally caught up with the collection now, no more missing must have statues...what a nice feeling not have to deal with ebay...
