If the PF looks especially awesome, I may drop the 1/6 and make the PF my only INDY piece.

It used to be that you could get 5-6 12" for the price of a PF, so I'd go the 12" route.

Things have changes and owning 1 PF might be more desirable than the 4 12"s you can get these days.

I would certainly drop the Medicom and go Sideshow all the way

I agree with that. 2 $150 medicom pieces=$300 or Indy PF=$350 (guessing), I'd take the PF any day.

As it is, I'm not touching the Medicoms at all at that price. Its just whether I want to keep the 12" SSC line or do PF.

There is something to say about collecting the 12"ers though in that we are bound to get a good selection of characters that PF won't.

I know, that's why I collect more and more 12" figures ans less PF in some lines.

I'm actually going the other way. I am about to sell off nearly all of my 12" figures -with a couple exceptions- and stick with the PF line. I'll post the links to the auctions when I get them up. Registered Sideshow Freaks will get free shipping in the lower 48 states.

I have gone that route in the past.
Started buying all kinds of PF, but they take a lot of space (I owned over 20 PF's) and you have much more diversity in the 12" lines.

I like to fill a Detolf with some 12"s and a top a nice PF or Life-Size bust.

Depending on how this will look, this could be possibly my first PF from SS (as I'm relatively exclusive to purchasing 12" figures)

Wow, at last! It hasn't been a long long time since they announced the Indy line, but it sure has felt like a long time until we finally have gotten confirmation of the first PF statue! I'm pre-ordering the exclusive (if the extra accesory is worth it). After that, I gess I'll stick with eBay and get the regular versions of the rest of the line. Can't wait to see more of the statue, I bet it's awesome.

...As it is, I'm not touching the Medicoms at all at that price...

Sideshow retailers have them for only $135, which is close to what a lot of people were hoping for! I would hurry before they sell out if you are going to order from a retailer however.

Personally I'm not interested in PF figures, not even of Indy (and I'm a pretty big Indy collector from the Kenner line onwards). I just prefer toys, stuff I can pick up and pose. So it's actually quite nice to know something expensive is being produced that I don't want!

But I know a lot of people have been waiting for this, so I'm pleased for all of them. I hope for their sake the sculpt is awesome!

I think the sculpt will be if Trev likes it more than his 12" one. That's really making me lean towards getting the PF over the 12". Although it seems that sometimes how good a sculpt is can be very subjective.

In today's USA Today George Lucas talks about the soon to be unveiled Indy PF and he says, "People who expect it to be the second coming of Captain America are going to be extremely disappointed." Trevor Grove was instructed to "just have fun" when sculpting the piece but he doesn't think the piece will sell out. "This will probably be available for second chance, just like the Dr. Doom PF was. People hate me, and they hate Sideshow Collectibles. But I'm really proud of this piece."
