While the Endor ST helmet is weathered amazing, itd be too weathered for the remnant. Wouldn?t be as screen accurate. Looks awesome though. My remnant will be here Tuesday

Yeah. Wicket helmet is dirty and muddy. Remanant helmet is degraded, rusty (not sure how that works with the material they are supposed to be made of but whatev's apparently), chipped and carbon scored. Very different weathering.

I do like that the wicket one is the ANH stormtrooper Han/Luke bucket with interior detailing rather than the R1 bucket here. Hoping that's what comes with the Mandalorian base. Weathering on those will be another interesting comparison.

I considered adding this figure to my collection but ultimately decided they don't make sense in universe or in my collection. Once the rest of the remnant force showed up these suddenly just didn't fit. The scout troopers where weathered as you would expect for the environment, but these were just really old damaged armour. But that's clearly not an issue for the remnant forces. So why? Which then leads to display of the fig. There are so many other options for Mando that I would never pose him with the remnant trooper. So where does it fit in? We are unlikely to get a fig of Werner's character. I could pose him all on his own but then when I do that I like trooper pairs for the most part and two of these with the same weathering is problematic. I do have some single troopers (Patrol Trooper, R1 Storm Trooper, Shore Trooper and SS RotJ Scout trooper) but they all fit thematically with other troopers or figures. This one is just on his own to me. Anyway that's just my internal logic and rambling :lol

They?d work next to Mando in the standoff when he first meets Werner. ?We have you 4 to 1? ?I like those odds? but that?s honestly about it. I don?t see many buying more than 2 of these.

Yes, but the reality is very few are going to go with that as a display option, more likely with the Child. My display will be V1 Mando with the V2 Child and crib.

Oh no doubt, most will buy 2 tops if they even get them at all. I may end up using my second to get a custom Mimban trooper made since HT doesn?t seem like they will be making it.

Looks like a pretty great figure to me. I am usually easy to please, I guess. LOL

Anyone getting this and eventually regrets it, PM and I'll take it off your hands for the right price!!!!

Wicket's Stormtrooper helmet is some of Hot Toys' best weathering I've seen.

It looks like way too much. I do not recall any single stormtrooper dirty in ROTJ, let alone that dirty!

Maybe here a tad:

During this time period, the majority of stormtrooper gear is completely jacked up. Jacked up is the norm. It is a statement of Moff Gideon’s power that he can field clean troopers just as much as he can field death troopers or any of the variety of imperial equipment he shows up with. Having death troopers, incinerators, an e-web, scouts and bikes, troop transports, etc displays he grabbed up a variety of critical imperial supplies; clean stormtroopers also means he still also has a deep bench of remaining supplies. I would bet that after we see a season or even multiple seasons of Mando taking this guy on, that we won’t be seeing many clean troopers available for Gideon to deploy in the later episodes of this conflict.

The weathering looks so good though. Like the Ewoks played football with the helmet for a bit first. :lol

Hot Toys overdid the weathering on the Remnant trooper too, compared to the series. They really went to town with the yellow, but in very specific places:

The 'encrusted sand' on their Sandtrooper was applied in a way that looked more natural, more subtle:

I wasn't interested in this figure but ordered two of them after seeing these photos. I think Hot Toys did a decent job of the weathering when compared directly to the screen shots, rather than my memory from the show. Aside from the yellowing, at least. I guess I'd rather just judge them in-hand and decide if I want to keep them from there.

I need to track down a shorter neck peg for one of the 2 I?m getting. That along with swapping arm armor from left to right will give enough difference.

Remember the colour grading is different in the show as well. Mandos original armour appears more red than brown in most scenes, but the actual armour in real life is way browner. I assume Hot Toys bases their figures on the actual props, rather than only using references from the actual shows/movies themselves. Although I could be wrong.
