That looks fantastic Paul.

Easy swap, Chris, but still unsure on messing with the custom. I tried a HT ANH but will go with the Sandie bucket for now.
Will look better once weathered up.

Stunning figure on the shelf. I think the weathering looks great. Nice, tight joints. Only nits are the hands pop off too easily and there?s too much shine on the armor. Other than that there?s no complaints.

Just received this guy. I think that the weathering is much better than anticipated. The yellow is also much more sand colored than it looks in photos. And the shine doesn?t bother me as I think that?s kind of what we saw on screen.
My main complaint is that the helmet sits a bit too high. It helps bringing it forward some and pushing the armor up a bit, but still.

Someone in a FB group used some matte spray on the armor and it looked 100x better. It's definitely too shiny.

Any chance you have a screenshot of the trooper wearing the R1 helmet? I'd be interested in seeing the difference. :)

I wonder if they used Dulcote.

Ooo I?d love to see this. If you come across the pic again you should post it here.

Yeah I'd love to see this too.

Maybe I exaggerated 100x better, but it at least makes it look a bit more desirable to me. He said later he took the armor off obviously where he could. He thought chest plate, cumber bun and cod piece were maybe glued together and couldn't get them off.

The original looks better?

They were relatively shiny on screen

Most likely to give off subtle reflections. More appealing to the camera then a flat white trooper blending into the dark backgrounds.

I don?t think it should be matte. Maybe more of a satin/semi gloss.

Agreed.
I used a satin finish but doesn?t show up too well in the full figure shot.
(Modded bucket swap and some added some bits of weathering to better match the screen ref)

Yeah, I don’t know. Looks like there’s some shine on that trooper in the screen grab. I’ll probably just leave mine as is.

Without a doubt leave as is.
All the ?mods? Iv seen on this figure make it look worse. Iv got two & they look great together really easy to pose too

Looks great. That's the Sandtrooper bucket or ANH? Can't tell anymore.
