Not gonna lie I'll be pretty giddy if Mando shows CW flashbacks and we see Phase I or II Clonetroopers in practical suits for once.

Get this Khev
If they give us a full episode of a flashback that includes Ashoka, Maul, Obi, Bo, Mandos, practical suit Clones, Mace and Yoda hologram and possibly even that rumored Hayden/Portman cameos i?m telling you right now it would instantly replace 7 years of TCW as the official face of TCW.
That’s some ******** that they let her play live action for her character but not Eckstein for Ahsoka. I now wonder if Ahsoka will even be orange now. This is going to be a Titans Starfire situation all over again.

Yeah because if they cast Eckstein and her look was off in some way everybody would forgive it because she'd still instantly translate as Ahsoka the moment she spoke. But now Dawson will have doubly large shoes to fill.
Funny, but I didn't really like her all that much in Battlestar Galactica as Starbuck. But then I started watching her in other things and began to really like her. So I guess it was more the character of Starbuck I didn't like, rather than her or her acting ability. She was an ahole just as Starbuck was supposed to be an ahole. The gender swap just didn't fit the character for me. A womanizer to a manizer.
Really starting to look forward to season 2.. Hope Kennedy & Disney are still leaving Filoni & Favreau alone without forcing stuff into the show. The 1st season they let them be, as Kennedy would've blamed them if it failed. But now that it's more popular than the ****** ST, I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to sabotage it... Start forcing in references to the ST.
Anyone watch the new Mando doc on Disney+? In the 2nd episode when Kennedy is at the table with the directors, all they talk about is the OT and the PT. They never really mention her beloved ST... Looks like she doesn't want to be there, nor do they want her to be. Favreau even seems to ignore her at one point when she's trying to talk..
Didn't we cover this already? Eckstein is a voice actor. She hasn't acted in anything substantial, nor has she acted in front of a camera period since appearing briefly in some forgettable cable TV fare @15 years ago. And let's not kid ourselves - if she didn't look the part or couldn't wield a lightsaber convincingly, we'd all descend on her like vultures!
The Razor Crest appeared behind Lando at Exegol (suck it ST haters, muahaha) so I hope that the series finale ties into TROS the way TCW did with ROTS.

With all the makeup she'd be under it'd be very easy to replace her with an accomplished sword fighter for the action scenes.
But my first choice would have still been that she'd be full CGI with Eckstein's voice, big eyes and all.
At least Dawson has a good look and decent charisma on her own so she should still be fun to watch even if she doesn't translate perfectly as the Ahsoka we know from TCW.
Can you imagine if Fett kills her and wears one of her dangly head things as a trophy?

Since KK must know that Mando is getting more praise than the ST I can't help but wonder if these leaks (Ahsoka casting, Fett's return, etc.) which have NOT been official announcements from LFL have either been from her directly or someone in her "camp" (ie "Story Group"/High Republic weirdos) that is actively trying to steal some of the thunder from the upcoming season.
Because I don't believe for one second that after keeping Baby Yoda hidden from all press releases prior to Season 1 that Favreau would suddenly want the appearance of Ahsoka and Boba freaking Fett himself spoiled months in advance.
I honestly find it pretty annoying that we already know those details to be honest. They should have been saved for the show.
Just found this and watched it. Just posted today. This is all rumor, but sure sounds awfully accurate...

has to look the part, sound the part, and act the part. Eckstein has two of those down (one with the help of some heavy makeup ) and I think a voice actor as great as her wouldn?t have much problem translating Ahsoka on screen herself because she is Ahsoka.
Instead, we have to get Rosario, worrying about how will she look? How will she sound? How will her portrayal translate? If LFL comes and say, yes she will be orange, great! At least if she looks the part, good enough for me. I like her and she is a good actor, so looking the part goes a long way in accepting those other two parts of the equation.
But the more I think about this and hearing about the ?civil war? over Star Wars, the more I think it was a conscious decision to cast somebody where their skin tone would be good enough without heavy makeup or just blatantly put wanted Ahsoka to be somebody who wasn?t white. It sounds like a move KK would pull, just see the Clone Wars arc with Ahsoka or the High Republic garbage, tells you everything you need to know about KKs Star Wars........
The conversations around Star Wars now has changed, far more politicized and far more polarizing politics than Lucas ever brought to the table, bringing ?issues? up that were never issues with Star Wars fans (see Leia, Mara Jade, Jaina Solo, Ahsoka, Asajj Ventress, Daala, etc...)
