Katee Sackhoff returning as Bo Katan in season 2.

I'd like me some Katee Sackhoff. She could easily get my sack hoff... :lol

Yeah and she did a good job playing a cop in Longmire so I'm actually really looking forward to seeing her appear. I think she'll translate much easier to live-action than Ahsoka. Do we know how old her character was in TCW? She's 40 in real life so if they want to say she was in her 20's at the end of TCW then she wouldn't even need to be aged up that much.

Not gonna lie I'll be pretty giddy if Mando shows CW flashbacks and we see Phase I or II Clonetroopers in practical suits for once.

Get this Khev

If they give us a full episode of a flashback that includes Ashoka, Maul, Obi, Bo, Mandos, practical suit Clones, Mace and Yoda hologram and possibly even that rumored Hayden/Portman cameos i?m telling you right now it would instantly replace 7 years of TCW as the official face of TCW. :thud:

All that with the OT/Mando aesthetic. :thud:

If they do all that and then can make me love TM Boba. :thud: :thud:

That’s some ******** that they let her play live action for her character but not Eckstein for Ahsoka. I now wonder if Ahsoka will even be orange now. This is going to be a Titans Starfire situation all over again.

Yeah because if they cast Eckstein and her look was off in some way everybody would forgive it because she'd still instantly translate as Ahsoka the moment she spoke. But now Dawson will have doubly large shoes to fill.

Funny, but I didn't really like her all that much in Battlestar Galactica as Starbuck. But then I started watching her in other things and began to really like her. So I guess it was more the character of Starbuck I didn't like, rather than her or her acting ability. She was an ahole just as Starbuck was supposed to be an ahole. The gender swap just didn't fit the character for me. A womanizer to a manizer. :(

Really starting to look forward to season 2.. Hope Kennedy & Disney are still leaving Filoni & Favreau alone without forcing stuff into the show. The 1st season they let them be, as Kennedy would've blamed them if it failed. But now that it's more popular than the ****** ST, I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to sabotage it... Start forcing in references to the ST.

Anyone watch the new Mando doc on Disney+? In the 2nd episode when Kennedy is at the table with the directors, all they talk about is the OT and the PT. They never really mention her beloved ST... Looks like she doesn't want to be there, nor do they want her to be. Favreau even seems to ignore her at one point when she's trying to talk.. :lol

Since KK must know that Mando is getting more praise than the ST I can't help but wonder if these leaks (Ahsoka casting, Fett's return, etc.) which have NOT been official announcements from LFL have either been from her directly or someone in her "camp" (ie "Story Group"/High Republic weirdos) that is actively trying to steal some of the thunder from the upcoming season.

Because I don't believe for one second that after keeping Baby Yoda hidden from all press releases prior to Season 1 that Favreau would suddenly want the appearance of Ahsoka and Boba freaking Fett himself spoiled months in advance.

I honestly find it pretty annoying that we already know those details to be honest. They should have been saved for the show.

Didn't we cover this already? Eckstein is a voice actor. She hasn't acted in anything substantial, nor has she acted in front of a camera period since appearing briefly in some forgettable cable TV fare @15 years ago. And let's not kid ourselves - if she didn't look the part or couldn't wield a lightsaber convincingly, we'd all descend on her like vultures! :lol

With all the makeup she'd be under it'd be very easy to replace her with an accomplished sword fighter for the action scenes.

But my first choice would have still been that she'd be full CGI with Eckstein's voice, big eyes and all.

At least Dawson has a good look and decent charisma on her own so she should still be fun to watch even if she doesn't translate perfectly as the Ahsoka we know from TCW.

Can you imagine if Fett kills her and wears one of her dangly head things as a trophy? :horror

Just felt like she butt in and had to tout her Lucas connection. I wanna hear from the CRAFTSPEOPLE, the people doing the work. Not some producer.

A good boss should know when to butt out, too. Dunno what she was doing there. She's got enough on her plate IMO trying to get Obi-wan and Cassian series off the ground, since Disney doesn't have a huge slate of fresh offerings thanks to Covid.

I've got hope, tho, in that IMO Favreau and Filoni know how to tell a story, and how to END a story. Like I'd luv if Rebels picked up. But if that never happens, and Filoni hadn't seemed that enthusiastic about continuing at times - I feel satisfied in the series. Favreau went in with an entire arc in mind, so am hoping Din J'jarin's arc has a satisfying end that happens before the events of TROS.

Tho that's kinda weird anyway since IMO 30 years between TOTJ and TROS was never enough to have this huge First Order building up without anyone noticing:stake - well, whatever. Maybe it will be one of those endings that is happy for the main characters, more or less, but there's this ominous note.:dunno Hopefully not Palps laughing maniacally:pfft:

For me the voice isn't notable enough to care. Dawson in makeup looks the part and has the acting chops. *Marvel* is always pretty good about casting to type.:monkey3. Well, I would've preferred someone else for CM, but most of the time MCU:monkey3 has great cast.

The Razor Crest appeared behind Lando at Exegol (suck it ST haters, muahaha) so I hope that the series finale ties into TROS the way TCW did with ROTS.

Yeah, but it took someone with some Photoshop skills to point it out through the murk. :monkey3

Yes to all of this.

But wouldn't she sound too young? How much time has passed between TCW and post-Empire Mando - 25+ years? I'm only on Season 5 of TCW. Does she sound more mature by the end?

As for Fett killing her, based on how he's fared against Luke in ROTJ and Asajj Ventress in TLC Season 4, I don't like his chances vs. someone with Force powers. :lol

p.s - If he gets even with Ventress by the end of TCW, don't spoil it for me.

Yup. She has to look the part, sound the part, and act the part. Eckstein has two of those down (one with the help of some heavy makeup :lol) and I think a voice actor as great as her wouldn?t have much problem translating Ahsoka on screen herself because she is Ahsoka.

Instead, we have to get Rosario, worrying about how will she look? How will she sound? How will her portrayal translate? If LFL comes and say, yes she will be orange, great! At least if she looks the part, good enough for me. I like her and she is a good actor, so looking the part goes a long way in accepting those other two parts of the equation.

But the more I think about this and hearing about the ?civil war? over Star Wars, the more I think it was a conscious decision to cast somebody where their skin tone would be good enough without heavy makeup or just blatantly put wanted Ahsoka to be somebody who wasn?t white. It sounds like a move KK would pull, just see the Clone Wars arc with Ahsoka or the High Republic garbage, tells you everything you need to know about KKs Star Wars.

KK has already tried to sabotage Star Wars with her force is female politics and hating white men, trying to turn the franchise into something some pre-teen/teen girl would love instead of creating a franchise for all. It?s sickening.

The conversations around Star Wars now has changed, far more politicized and far more polarizing politics than Lucas ever brought to the table, bringing ?issues? up that were never issues with Star Wars fans (see Leia, Mara Jade, Jaina Solo, Ahsoka, Asajj Ventress, Daala, etc...).

She is pissed a show made by three white guys, with two male characters, is now the face of Star Wars. It?s simple as that. Her agenda is crumbling.

I could see her being that vindictive. KK unintentionally ruins Star Wars and now intentionally does it. That?s what happens when jealousy and a failing agenda occurs.

Can you imagine the ?oh **** it?s Ahsoka!? or ?FETT IS ALIVE? moment we could of got? Nope. I believe KK ****ing ruined it.

And Khev, I still can?t believe you like the ST based on your comments here :lol

Just found this and watched it. Just posted today. This is all rumor, but sure sounds awfully accurate... :lol

It?s her MO.

Wants a female ?Baby Yodet?

Wants a female director.

Jealousy.

Anger that men are running the show and are the main characters.

I believe everything in that video. Even based on the Mando round table discussion and listening to her and how everyone interacts with her.

I mean.... there are stunt actors for a reason :lol I?d argue that physical acting can be taught easier than voice acting. I wouldn?t be too worried about her making the switch, she is working with some great people.

With all the makeup she'd be under it'd be very easy to replace her with an accomplished sword fighter for the action scenes.

Don?t even say that :lol I?d be pissed :lol And sad. And I?d have to hate Fett too! :lol

Ahsoka would kill Boba anyways :lecture

Well yeah. And no. For one thing, there's plenty in the Disney+ audience who'd watch live action because it's Star Wars or Baby Yoda or hype but wouldn't bother with what they see as a cartoon or animated series. The inner circle of fans seems to not think about the general audience but Disney won't$$$$$. And those fans don't know about a voice actor.

Even if Dawson was cast as she is easier to turn into Ahkosa *shrug* she's got the skills. U might suggest that Pascal was hired to bring in the Hispanic audience. But it's like Fury - SLJ is awesome even if the original was a white guy. Pascal is awesome the righf mix of code and occasional warmth/ humor. His real life background isn't relevant on screen. Favreau doesn't need KK but she needs him.

IMO Mandalorian is in capable hands. It's the rumored spinoff with Ahkosa and Sabine Wren I'd worry about. 2 Female leads and KK and the woman with the Jay Leno jaw. Hate to see any Rebels follow-up ruined.:(
