He's a baby, he has no moral compass, it's made clear that Mando isn't the best person to be caring for him, which is why he is trying to reunite him with his own kind. Also pretty sure it's not the species going extinct, I'm sure she said it's just the last in her bloodline.

We were all ****s as children.

Actually the Frog Lady eggs was just "unfertilized eggs", it is food for a certain point of view just like chicken eggs(i know that is not how it works with chickens in real world but this actually happens with frogs, the female put their egg in water and the male fertilize them), that's why she have to meet her husband in that planet before the eggs expire

Don't think it was weaker at all, since I look at the entire series as kind of a long movie. And IMO a good movie has "beats" to it - like if you watch Iron Man 1 there's a rythm from action scenes to more interpersonal to action etc.

Was hoping for something "calmer" and more interpersonal without really knowing how it would look, and that's what I got, more or less.

Oh I agree, I was responding more to Turd's "Reed is no Favreau" comment. I probably should have prefaced it with "If one thinks this episode was weaker..."

Weaker episode my butt cheeks holy crap did we just get back to back horror movies!

That was a better ALIEN movie than Ridley Scott’s recent attempts.

Was it a filler episode yes yes it was BUT the filler episodes have tremendously increased in quality from the season one filler episodes.

The child is being utilized in an incredibly intelligent manner.

If the filler episodes are going to be of this quality then I am happy.

But hopefully they start expanding the narrative.

Shame the trailer ruined some of this.

That XW chase was freaking amazing another 300 million dollar visual!

That freaking spider just wow!

And khev not just road warrior he also looked like Conan the freaking Barbarian while walking like that.

Mechanic lady's translation was "she needs her eggs fertilized by the equinox or her line will end". I think it can be interpreted either way. I took it to mean her species, as that made Mando's acceptance of the task all the more noble.

Yep I'll never complain about an episode that features a Boba Fett look-alike blasting an army of face huggers, lol.

The only thing that made me roll my eyes was Filoni cameoing *again* as an X-Wing pilot. Okay do it once as a fun little wish fulfillment Easter Egg. But gratuitously insert yourself into multiple scenes in multiple sectors? What are the odds that Mando would run into the same pilot in back to back encounters in different parts of the galaxy. Come on dude, you had your fun once now don't become the next M. Night Shyamalan.

Rogue One visuals on a weekly basis. :thud:

That's right! :rock

I think she means her line as a family and not as a species
I don't understand you guys saying this was a filler episode, the whole point of the show is to be a filler tv series about the main series, it's all filler to make a greater expanded universe.

To me, her line meant her family :dunno. Guess it doesn't really matter either way. Kids are real dicks, The Child is no exception just because he's cute.

Yep, you are correct. When she accessed the droid she said she & her husband "worked too hard & suffered too much to accept extinction of our family line". I recalled her using the word extinction but didn't catch the family part during my first viewing.

I don’t think those are really eggs and Frog Lady isn’t who she says she is. She can slice a droid and can shoot.... seems suspect. I think it is a big set up by Fett.

Plus, why would Disney allow The Child to be a Child Eater. Little man is far too savage.

We as humans eat unfertilised chicken eggs all the time, this is no different really.

I think the muppets lady set him up.

Also Disney really showing some big balls with how they are portraying their little cash cow.

Minus some minor annoying exposition dialogue with the muppet lady this episode was intense and super fun!

:lol We knew Baby could be a little *&^% last season messing with the Razor Crest.

Always will stand by folks are entitled to their opinion. Was suspecting tho that some fans - not necessarily on this board - were gonna be considerably deflated:monkey3, expecting Boba Fett to come in with guns blazing or Ahsoka to come crashing to the rescue.

Since am not a fan of the potential idea of hijacking the show to turn it into a Clones/Rebels sequel or "redeem" Boba - not even sure what that means, was happy the show stuck to the basics e.g. Mando and Child on their journey.

Anyway, suspect Favreau and Filoni are gonna do the fan service as the season goes along, which proves they are also little &^^%$:lol

Child eater hahahahaha we also are child eater unless you're vegan
The eggs were not fertilized, they are just like chicken\ostrich eggs its FOOD

Ewoks burned people alive and ate them. "Cute" critters in SW that eat other sentient life is nothing new.

Jawas ate The Egg. All I know is, I need some deviled eggs now. Or hardboiled. Maybe one of those biscuits where the egg is weirdly perfect and fits the bun.

LOL Mando asking Baby how many he ate reminded me of asking my friend's labrador why he ate a bar of soap and the dog just looking at me and then cr@pping white soap later...

True absolutely true but Disney didn’t own SW back in 83 and I also find that unlike the Ewoks BY was instantly loved so i’m still surprised that Disney has turned him into a fetus eating cannibal lol

Ohhh look how cute his little cheeks are......

OMG HOLY CRAP! lol

I wonder if they will ever make a metaphorical scene where Kathleen Kennedy appears on screen for the first time and is slowly and brutally force choked to death by Baby Yoda?
