Of course its not designed for that, thrones rarely are designed for slouching. But its very appropriate, since right now Bo isnt designed for the role she's filling, either.

She should be ruling. But she's not. Bo's plans are all in disarray and so is she. She is angry and depressed. The throne and empty throne room just mirror that.

Agreed! I also interpreted her empty throne room scene similarly.

Well, uhm, in some cases, yes that would be it.

Sprawling and slouching is generally casual and comfortable. She looks stiff and unnatural onscreen. YMMV.

The fact that there is no end plan that they are building towards doesn't inspire much confidence, but it could also be a good thing as it might suggest that they aren't necessarily building towards the trilogy-that-must-not-be-named.
