Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

You know, based on the highest spec'd and highest priced iPad sku, one could already predict what the 2nd gen version will have (next year, probably):

Memory bumped up to 160gb
faster proprietary Apple A4 chip. Quicker processor. Perhaps more advanced proprietary independent graphics chip.
4G network instead of 3G
OLED screen (this one is a stretch)

If none of that really concerns you, I think it's safe to be an early adopter.

MaulFan, did you see this?

iPad Camera Connection Kit
The Camera Connection Kit gives you two ways to import photos and videos from a digital camera. The Camera Connector lets you import your photos and videos to iPad using the camera’s USB cable. Or you can use the SD Card Reader to import photos and videos directly from the camera’s SD card.

Ooooh, and for my purpose, the smallest memory model would work. I don't need Aperture, I love it, but the photo function on this would work great, they'd open big enough on a quality screen that would give me a true look at how the image turned out.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

So without knowing much about this stuff and without reading over all the little details. Can you download the digital copies of movies that come with blurays and upload them to this?

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Wait for what? The latest model? That never happens unless the product is discontinued. Only then you are guaranteed the lates model, like if you bought a Newton.

dude..I'm not payin a s**t ton of money when the next version will have more in it than the last. it's pretty retarded to jump on these things & buy it on day 1, on top of the bugs it may have

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

It's not a big surprise that they did plan this, Aperture really demonstrates a lot of thought into the work flow of a professional photographer, so recognizing the value of this tool in that flow seems like a no brainer, I'd be more surprised if they didn't come up withe some way to do it.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

So does iBooks. I was never interested in Kindle or reading books online before because of how cold the actual text looks. This could change that for me.

Yes it does. I didn't get that far into the video, but yes iBooks looks awesome. This is gonna be a day 1 purchase for me as well.

If they're Mac format yes. That's basically why BR's and DVDs come with digital copies, the boom of portable movie players. If you download digital movies through iTunes with BRs and DVDs, that's already formatted and good to go.

Dude, when you pay s**t ton of money in the new, updated and improved second version the third one will arrive. When you pay s**t ton of money on the new, updated and improved third version, the fourth one will arrive. When you pay s**t ton of ...........
