Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Will be ordering this. Might start using this to do my reviews in.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Anyone else a little disappointed it doesn't have Siri?

Maybe that will be a potential fall release?!?!

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

That would be cool if it had but the iPhone 5 will have it so I'm ok.

The 4S has it, and it's quite nice. Would have loved to put this new iPad in the car and used voice nav. Oh well, maybe the next gen.

Definitely ordering the new ATV. Undecided about the new iPad right now.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

I can't see enough to upgrade. Only thing they could offer that would make me consider it would be 128gb of space but even then most likely will stick with my iPad 2.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Not worth upgrading unless Julie wants my 2. I can wait. Whew! I even banked money just in case. Now I can save it! :rock

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Yeah, I may just get a discounted 2. Hopefully the site stays down longer so I can make up my mind. :lol

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

If I didn't have a 2 though I would get the newer version.

That's what women are for, to inherit our old electronics. My wife is a proud owner of the 2. I might let her look over my shoulder on the new when I'm watching a film. When the 4 hits she'll get the 3.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

That's part of the problem. The kid (20mos) has my wife's original iPad. I skipped the 2 because I knew this one would have the nicer display.

So, in theory, I really should buy two iPads, even though she has told me she doesn't want one...
but we all know how that story would end. :monkey1

Thats how I got me 4s. :yess::rotfl

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

this is worse than trying to score a batman begins figure from sideshowtoy.com The whole website is hosed cant even get to the order screen, you did think a company so bend on the user experience and with billions cash in hand can spend some money upgrading their website.

FAIL

And this is now how I got my iPad 3. Wife came home and asked if I ordered one. I said no not enough changes. Her reply? Well I wanted yours. My reply. Of course dear. :lol

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

So I haven't looked at the all the stats yet. Is this essentially the same size as the 2? Meaning if I were to buy a screen protector for a 2 would it fit fine on this?

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Tiny bit thicker and barely any heavier than iPad 2.

iPad 2

Height: 9.50 inches (241.2 m)
Width: 7.31 inches (185.7 mm)
Depth: 0.34 inch (8.8 mm)
Weight: 1.33 pounds (601 g)

New iPad (3)

Height: 9.50 inches (241.2 mm)
Width: 7.31 inches (185.7 mm)
Depth: 0.37 inch (9.4 mm)
Weight: 1.44 pounds (652 g)

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

Really trying to figure out if I want to get the IPad 3 with 4G or just with Wifi. Any thoughts or suggestions.

Re: The Apple Tablet "The iPad"

I don't like the upfront expense to get the 4G model and I don't like the back end cost to have an additional plan. My thunderbolt phone is 4G and it honestly is spotty in my area so I'd make sure your area gets a strong signal. I've also found that any time I've ever used my 2 there has been WiFi around and the one time I didn't I used my phone as a hotspot.

I have the wifi version. If I really wanted to go mobile I would rather pay for the tethering. Actually I would look up the cost for that. It's probably cheaper for a while when comparing it to the upgraded cost. Not sure. If you travel a ton 3G is probably worth it. I don't go anywhere. :rotfl
