I have been watching a Video on Youtube today, and the person seems quite upset about people who use commando+lightweight+marathon and then run around Knifing everybody.
I havent played the game in ages so I would not know if this is a problem. Is it?

The actual combination is Marathon+Lightweight+Commando+Pistol w/Tactical Knife.

This allows the person to run flat out infinitely, faster than others, have a longer melee reach(with commando), and a faster melee attack(with tactical knife).

Some people also use a glitch where you use your care package marker and swap back to pistol and it somehow gets you holding the canister and your knife and makes it even worse.

It's not HORRIBLE, but its annoying, and you'll usually find at least one guy in most games who will be doing it. The thing is, it's not some unbeatable class, it requires close quarters, and preferably people grouped and unsuspecting for you to get alot of kills with it. With tactical knife you can stab multiple times in succession very quickly and move through a couple of guys easily, or just quickly stab a guy before he can stab you. With commando you're able to reach and stab guys further away than you should so often you will see (if your on the receiving end) a guy run through your gunshots and stab you, seems ridiculous but it's how it works.

It's basically a cheap class, but alot of times you'll end up dying as much as you kill cause your still running around like a maniac with a knife in a gun fight and anytime anyone sees you coming they can mow you down. I've seen people vary it up a bit using ninja and cold blooded to help conceal themselves, but the killer combo is the one stated above.

Thing is Infinity Ward gave us the class in essence, because one of the presets you can play with has Marathon, LightWeight, and Ninja, along with the .44 Magnum with tactical knife, which is almost the class on its own, and you can use that preset to level up the 44 for yourself so you can make your own class with commando, since tactical knife means any knife kill you get while holding the pistol counts as a kill for the pistol, and it only takes three levels of killing with the 44 to get its tactical knife.

Personally i've used the class, i don't like it and it's doesn't garner me a buttload of kills, i prefer my regular ones, i mainly used it to level through the perks like Marathon and Lightweight since it takes so much to level those up, and running constantly helps that. I know playing with them leveled up my Ninja and Commando in no time at all.

I just hate the auto lock-on/lunge seen with the knife and the riot shield. I faced off against a few riot shield people today and I clearly dodged them from my screen, but either because of lag or the lock on, I'd get hit.

To be able to customize a soldiers a appearance would be good! Also maybe a map set on a massive plane. "Fight to save the pilot as Americans, while OpFor guard him like a flag. Americans have fifteen minutes to get to the pilot before the bomb, hidden in the cockpit, blows up over American soil! This level could include vents for sneak attacks and chair cover for long winded battles. The environment should be destructible, plane windows could break after tremendous amounts of gunfire. For Hardcore matches civilians should be on board. to many civilians wounded ends the match for the Americans." I would certainly play!

There is a spec-ops mission simailar to this, to many civilian casualties = end of mission

I saw this today and had no idea what was going on. I kept watching the kill cam wondering why he was running around with his care package in hand. I finally quit the match after he got me multiple times (from a great distance I might add).

On a good note, I finally had my first Prestige last night (taking just under 72 hours of gameplay to achieve...I know, I suck horribly at this game). I had my best match today finally breaking the 30 kill mark going 33-6 in Afghan with a 27 kill streak tying my best kill streak. No nuke (I think its just stupid). Felt good to finally break the 30 kill mark especially with my classes and perks back to the basics.

Can anyone answer this...I've noticed some players kills...Im currently near 10,000...but Im ranked like 700,000 or 800,000 place...Then I check an you can see steaks, my best is 20 in a row...Good right? Anyways, you see some guys at 400, 1000, even 3000+ kills in a row, WTF! How is this possible? I never seen anyone get that many...the most I've seen one guy get is 30 and then he nuked the end of the game so he died...So how is this possible?

I have a Zombie class that I use to infect folks with,

Marathon, Lightweight, Commando, .45 w/ Tactical Knife

This class gives me some insane kills, to the point of being obscene, sometimes. It's not unlike the 1887 Akimbo, in terms of it's ridiculousness. As much as it irritates folks, though, they are promptly awarded the "Infected!" title. It's fun to "spread the love"...

Ah the fabled "Dr stabby" class they really should do something about it, ive done some crazy matrix style stabbage on some people when ive clearly been shot first but somehow just end up standing over the corpse. Confined areas with multiple targets = WIN

I was pretty impressed by this game when i was just start playing it...the single player missions are great...game was done at same day i picked it up...

But Online is definitly best

Just come across my first player using that speed knife tactic thing. Frustrating.
