I just played through the first modern warfare again and I have to say that this franchise of games is probably the best imo. I catch myself playing COD 2 at least once a year. The only dud so far out of the series was the 3rd and even it wasn't horrible. I'm actually playing through World at War right now picking up achievements I missed the first two times I played it through. Can't wait for this new installment!

And the only reason the third wasn't as good was because it was made by Activision (They made WaW too). I have 100% faith in Infinity Ward to give us another awesome game.

I think WaW is a great game, much better than the 3rd, but still not as good as MW.

For reals!!

I can already see a new perk, Heart-Beat Jammer!!!!

If they have a snow level like that, it would truely be an amazing experience!!

The weather in that level is pretty damned amazing, but I can see people just camping so hard in that level, namely me!! lol

To bad they won't showing any MP footage at E3. Guess we will just have to wait. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

But would camping really do much good with such random, chaotic conditions? One thing's for sure...snipers will have to do something other than sitting on their asses in a bush!! :lol

MW2 is about to come up on Gamespot's live stream if any of you care :p

True, if the snow really was blowing that hard, you'd definitely have to searching around the map the whole time.

I'd still love to see a Shooter-esque snow map!!!! That way I could use a CheyTac .408!!!!

Um, no. Activision did NOT make COD3 or WaW, Treyarch made them.

Just because Activision owns Treyarch (Since 2001), they didn't develop the game, they published it.

Just like Activision now owns Infinity Ward (Since 2003) and will publish Modern Warfare 2.

Yeah WaW was a great game, but it was as good as it was because they based the MP off of COD 4's MP.

Actually you're right. My point is that they weren't made by the masters at IW.

That's correct. Activision is the publisher and has published all the COD games, I believe. The developers are Treyarch (COD3 and WaW) and Infinity Ward (MW and MW2).

Best way to look at it is the difference between Twentieth Century Fox and Lucasfilm with regards to the SW Prequels: Lucasfilm created them but Fox "published" them.

yeah they are in charge, read: pay, for the advertising and distribution, etc. of the games.

I know it's correct, that's why I posted it. lol

LOL. I know.

I was just adding to your statement by pointing out Treyarch and IW were the developers (clarifying their role). That's why I quoted you...so everything was in one post essentially. Trying to make it easier for anyone still confused. :)

If a ^^^^ ton of people wanna play a crappy game like WaW, they are gonna let them.

Yeah, I ditched my copy because the multiplayer was extremely buggy, the tanks were made too powerful, and the campaign was shockingly short. I figured maybe the bugs would've been ironed out with patches, but my Modern Warfare teammate still plays World at War and confirmed the bugs are still there. :monkey4
