Actually, I bet they just hate PS3 online like I do. XBL FTW!!!! I'd rather pay.

Then do it. Some people prefer XBL some prefer PSN. It sucks when SONY has been the major driving force in video games the last two gens, a company that helped make gaming what it is today is getting shafted by developers who are flocking to microsoft's money to buy timed/ and non-timed exclusives. It's a damn crying shame.

Dude, I do pay! I have COD4 on both my 360 and on my PS3. I finally traded in my PS3 copy cause I hate playing on the PSN, at least for MP games. Love the PS3 for single player stuff!!

So weird compared to XBL and it just was never as fun play.

I think I will stick with my MW2 with just the 360 this time.

Yeah I always go 360 for non-exclusives, but I consider the PS3 a worthy purchase for Blu-Ray and exclusives.

I know this is about the original COD Modern Warfare, but rather than resurrecting the old thread, I thought i'd stick it in here. I need some help.

When I go on multiplayer, and click play online, im having problems, when I try to join a game it says "DOWNLOADING MULTIPLAYER SETTINGS" you know like it does when you first click "play online"? And this is on screen forever.

Well anyway it doesn't let me join a game, and it won't download any of the leaderboard stats. I can play private with my friends but it cuts off abruptly with an error message "Couldn't find multiplayer content pack".

One last thing, my mate joined me to his party, tried to find a game and it worked, only for that to cut off the same way a private match does.

Any help? Do I need to put my PS3 in a DMZ?

I just played through the first modern warfare again and I have to say that this franchise of games is probably the best imo. I catch myself playing COD 2 at least once a year. The only dud so far out of the series was the 3rd and even it wasn't horrible. I'm actually playing through World at War right now picking up achievements I missed the first two times I played it through. Can't wait for this new installment!

I'm hoping the extreme weather carries over into Multiplayer. Can you imagine Team Deathmatch in a blizzard with near zero visibility??!! It would really amp up the stealth aspect of the game and force players to fight a whole new kind of warfare!

I was saying the same thing to my buddies when I saw the game play trailer. Coupled with everybody in snow camo, it'd be a lot more tactical than your typical run and gun.

If they have a snow level like that, it would truely be an amazing experience!!

The weather in that level is pretty damned amazing, but I can see people just camping so hard in that level, namely me!! lol

To bad they won't showing any MP footage at E3. Guess we will just have to wait.
